经中央军委批准，2025年5月，中国人民解放军陆军兵种大学由原陆军装甲兵学院和陆军炮兵防空兵学院为基础调整组建，校本部位于安徽合肥，是全军唯一一所面向装甲兵、炮兵、防空兵培养主战兵种人才的高等教育院校，被誉为“陆战之王成长的摇篮、铁血战神与空疆卫士培养的沃土”。

Approved by the Central Military Commission, in May 2025, the Chinese People's Liberation Army Army Arms University was established through the restructuring of the former Army Armored Force Academy and the Army Artillery and Air Defense Academy, with its headquarters located in Hefei, Anhui Province. It is the only higher education institution in the entire military dedicated to cultivating talents for the main combat arms of armored forces, artillery, and air defense forces, known as "the cradle of land warfare kings and the fertile ground for nurturing iron-blooded war gods and airspace guardians."

学校办学历史可追溯至延安炮校和哈军工，历经80余载发展，形成“为党铸魂、向战砺剑”的育人理念和“军政兼优、指技兼融”的人才培养特色。学校横跨5省6市，建有5个国家级、13个军队级重点实验室，拥有以院士领衔的高水平师资队伍，近年获国家和军队（省部）级科技奖120余项、教学成果奖110余项，面向社会招收普通高中毕业生，承担生长军官学历教育、现职军官指挥培训等任务。

The university's educational history dates back to the Yan'an Artillery School and the Harbin Institute of Military Engineering. With over 80 years of development, it has formed the educational philosophy of "Casting the soul for the Party, forging swords for warfare" and the talent cultivation characteristic of "Excellence in both military and political affairs, integration of command and technology." Spanning 6 cities across 5 provinces, the university has 5 national-level and 13 military-level key laboratories, and a high-level faculty led by academicians. In recent years, it has won more than 120 national and military (provincial-ministerial) level scientific and technological awards and over 110 teaching achievement awards. It enrolls high school graduates from the public and undertakes tasks such as academic education for growing officers and command training for in-service officers.
