中国人民解放军陆军步兵学院是培养新型陆军步兵初级指挥军官的高等教育院校，渊源于红军时期的红军学校，历经抗日战争、解放战争时期的多所军政大学演变，2017年由南昌陆军学院与石家庄机械化步兵学院合并组建。学院院本部位于江西省南昌市，在河北省石家庄市设校区，是全军唯一培养步兵初级指挥军官的院校，主要承担陆军步兵初级指挥军官、合成营参谋、军事学研究生培养任务，同时为海军陆战队、空军空降兵等代培步兵军官，并面向100余个国家培养军事留学生。

The Chinese People's Liberation Army Army Infantry Academy is a higher education institution for training new-type junior command officers of the Army infantry. Its origins can be traced back to the Red Army School during the Red Army period, evolving through multiple military and political universities during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the Liberation War. In 2017, it was formed by merging the Nanchang Army Academy and the Shijiazhuang Mechanized Infantry Academy. With its headquarters located in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, and a campus in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, it is the only military academy in the entire army dedicated to cultivating junior infantry command officers. Its main responsibilities include training junior command officers of the Army infantry, staff officers of combined battalions, and military postgraduate students. Additionally, it trains infantry officers on behalf of the Marine Corps and Air Force paratroopers, and cultivates military international students from over 100 countries.

学院坚持立德树人、为战育人，围绕实战搞教学，累计培养近30万名军政指挥人才，其中150余人成长为共和国将军，被誉为“将军的摇篮”。现有教员800余名，教授、副教授210余名，拥有陆军步兵作战、政治工作2个军队级重点学科，开设作战指挥、指挥信息系统工程等4个本科专业。校园占地19600余亩，建有40余个军事训练场地及现代化教学设施，配备先进步兵装备，形成科文基础、工程专业、军事应用融合的教学体系，先后获评“全军教学优秀单位”“全国军政训练先进军校”等称号。

Adhering to the principles of moral education and nurturing talents for warfare, the academy focuses on combat-oriented teaching. It has cultivated nearly 300,000 military and political command talents, with over 150 growing into generals of the People's Republic, earning it the reputation of "the cradle of generals". The academy boasts over 800 faculty members, including more than 210 professors and associate professors. It houses 2 military-level key disciplines: Army Infantry Operations and Political Work, and offers 4 undergraduate majors such as Operational Command and Command Information System Engineering. Covering an area of over 19,600 mu, the campus features more than 40 military training grounds and modern teaching facilities, equipped with advanced infantry equipment. It has formed a teaching system integrating scientific and cultural foundation, engineering expertise, and military application, and has been successively awarded titles such as "Outstanding Teaching Unit of the Whole Army" and "Advanced Military Academy for Military and Political Training in China".
