培黎职业学院是由张掖市人民政府举办的一所全日制公办普通高等职业院校，于2020年1月经甘肃省政府批准、5月经教育部备案，10月正式招生，与甘肃省山丹培黎学校实施中高职一体化办学。学院根植于有80多年光荣历史的山丹培黎学校，该校由伟大的国际主义战士、新西兰著名社会活动家路易·艾黎于1942年创办，开创并实践了“手脑并用，创造分析”的职业教育思想，为中国革命事业作出重要贡献。

Peili Vocational College is a full-time public higher vocational college sponsored by the Zhangye Municipal People's Government. Approved by the Gansu Provincial Government in January 2020 and filed by the Ministry of Education in May 2020, it officially enrolled students in October of the same year. The college implements integrated secondary and higher vocational education with Gansu Shandan Peili School, which has a glorious history of over 80 years. Founded in 1942 by Rewi Alley, a great internationalist fighter and famous New Zealand social activist, Shandan Peili School pioneered and practiced the vocational education philosophy of "learning by doing and creating through analysis" and made important contributions to China's revolutionary cause.

学院得到各级党委、政府的高度重视和老一辈党和国家领导人的大力支持，时任全国人大常委会副委员长的习仲勋同志担任山丹培黎学校首任名誉校长长达14年，新西兰政府及国际友好组织也长期给予关心援助。习近平总书记多年来一直关心学校发展，2019年8月20日亲临视察并发表重要讲话，2023年6月回信勉励学院首届毕业生发扬工匠精神。学院规划占地面积1012亩，建筑面积27.4万平方米，现有在校生9047人，开设智慧农业、智能制造等5个专业群22个高职专业，坚持“产教融合、校企合作”办学路径，与新西兰等国家深入开展国际交流合作，致力于培养具有国际视野的技能型人才。

The college has received great attention from Party committees and governments at all levels as well as strong support from veteran Party and state leaders. Comrade Xi Zhongxun, then Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, served as the first honorary president of Shandan Peili School for 14 years. The New Zealand government and international friendly organizations have also provided long-term care and assistance. General Secretary Xi Jinping has cared about the development of the school for many years, inspected it in person and delivered an important speech on August 20, 2019, and wrote a letter in June 2023 encouraging the first batch of graduates to carry forward the spirit of craftsmanship. Covering a planned area of 1012 mu with a building area of 274,000 square meters, the college currently has 9,047 students and offers 22 higher vocational majors in 5 professional groups including smart agriculture and intelligent manufacturing. Adhering to the school-running path of "integration of production and education, school-enterprise cooperation", it has in-depth international exchanges and cooperation with New Zealand and other countries, committed to cultivating skilled talents with an international perspective.
