普洱学院位于“一市连三国、一江通五邻”，14个世居民族聚居，被誉为“世界茶源·中国咖啡之都”的云南省普洱市。学校始建于1978年，2012年3月经教育部批准升格为省属公办普通本科高校，2022年1月通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估。现有全日制在校学生13382人，以“明德敏学、健行致远”为校训，坚持“立足普洱、服务云南、面向全国、辐射南亚东南亚”的办学定位，致力于培养德智体美劳全面发展的社会主义建设者和接班人。

Puer University is located in Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, known as the "World Tea Source · China's Coffee Capital", where 14 ethnic groups inhabit and it connects three countries and five neighbors via a river. Founded in 1978, the university was upgraded to a provincial public ordinary undergraduate institution with the approval of the Ministry of Education in March 2012, and passed the Qualification Assessment of Undergraduate Teaching by the Ministry of Education in January 2022. Currently, it has 13,382 full-time students, adhering to the school motto of "Virtue, Diligence, Action, and Perseverance", and the school orientation of "Based in Pu'er, Serving Yunnan, Facing the Whole Country, and Radiating South and Southeast Asia", committed to cultivating socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical education, aesthetics, and labor.

学校占地面积2054亩，建筑面积26.28万平方米，固定资产总值7.91亿元，教学科研仪器设备值1.12亿元。图书馆馆藏纸质图书117.5万册，数字资源206.8万册。现有13个二级学院，开设42个本科专业，其中国家卓越农林人才培养试点建设专业1个（园林），省级一流本科专业建设点5个（烹饪与营养教育等）。建校45年来，共输送近6.5万名专业人才，仅普洱市在职在编教师中就有3800余人为该校毕业生，成为阻断贫困代际传递的中坚力量。

The university covers an area of 2054 mu (about 1.37 square kilometers) with a building area of 262,800 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is 791 million yuan, and the value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 112 million yuan. The library has 1.175 million paper books and 2.068 million digital resources. It has 13 secondary colleges offering 42 undergraduate majors, including 1 national pilot construction major for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents (Landscape Architecture) and 5 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites (Culinary Science and Nutrition Education, etc.). Over the past 45 years since its establishment, it has cultivated nearly 65,000 professionals, among whom more than 3,800 are currently serving as teachers in Pu'er City, becoming the backbone force in阻断贫困代际传递.

师资队伍方面，现有在岗教师708人，其中高级职称教师214人，博士43人，聘请刘仲华院士为名誉院长，拥有国家高层次人才计划、云南省“兴滇英才计划”等各类人才称号教师30余人。学校积极推进国际化办学，建立东盟学院，开设老挝语等3个非通用语种专业，与泰国、老挝等国高校合作培养复语型人才，并共建“一带一路”国际数字产业学院，留学生规模及学生国际化排名位居云南省前列。

In terms of faculty, there are 708 in-service teachers, including 214 with senior titles and 43 doctors. Academician Liu Zhonghua is invited as the honorary president. More than 30 teachers have won national high-level talent programs, Yunnan "Xingdian Talent Program" and other talent titles. The university actively promotes international education, establishing the ASEAN College with 3 non-common language majors such as Lao. It collaborates with universities in Thailand and Laos to cultivate multilingual talents, and co-builds the "the Belt and Road" International Digital Industry College. The scale of international students and the ranking of student internationalization are among the top in Yunnan Province.
