青海师范大学坐落于青藏高原东部的青海省西宁市，是一所具有教师教育、高原科学与绿色发展特色，以文、理、工、管为主体，多学科协调发展的省属重点大学。学校始建于1956年，历经青海师范专科学校、青海师范学院等发展阶段，1984年正式更名为青海师范大学，2000年与原青海教育学院合并，2004年原青海民族师范高等专科学校实质性并入，形成了今日的办学格局。

Qinghai Normal University is located in Xining, Qinghai Province, in the eastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It is a key provincial university with distinctive features in teacher education, plateau science, and green development. With liberal arts, sciences, engineering, and management as its main disciplines, the university promotes coordinated development across multiple fields. Founded in 1956, it has evolved through stages as Qinghai Teachers' College and Qinghai Normal College. In 1984, it was officially renamed Qinghai Normal University. In 2000, it merged with the former Qinghai Institute of Education, and in 2004, the former Qinghai National Normal College was substantively integrated, forming its current educational structure.

学校现有城西、城北两个校区，占地面积近1500亩，校舍建筑面积60余万平方米。设有23个学院，62个本科专业，涵盖哲学、经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、管理学、艺术学等10大学科门类。拥有11个一级学科博士学位授权点，1个交叉学科博士学位授权点，24个一级学科硕士学位授权点，17个专业硕士学位授权类别，形成了较为完整的学士、硕士、博士三级人才培养体系。

The university has two campuses, Chengxi and Chengbei, covering an area of nearly 1,500 mu (about 100 hectares) with a building area of over 600,000 square meters. It comprises 23 colleges offering 62 undergraduate programs, spanning 10 disciplines including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, management, and art. The university boasts 11 first-level doctoral degree programs, 1 interdisciplinary doctoral program, 24 first-level master's degree programs, and 17 professional master's degree categories, forming a complete talent cultivation system at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels.

作为青藏高原重要的人才培养基地和科学研究中心，青海师范大学始终立足高原、服务地方，在三江源生态保护、高原医学、藏文信息处理、高原体育训练等领域形成了显著优势。学校现有教职工1300余人，其中高级职称人员500余人，拥有国家“万人计划”领军人才、长江学者、国家杰出青年科学基金获得者等国家级人才20余人次。在校学生近2.5万人，其中本科生1.8万人，研究生6000余人，留学生300余人。

As an important talent cultivation base and scientific research center on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Qinghai Normal University has always rooted itself in the plateau and served local development. It has formed significant strengths in fields such as Sanjiangyuan ecological protection, plateau medicine, Tibetan information processing, and plateau sports training. The university has over 1,300 faculty members, including more than 500 with senior professional titles. It houses over 20 national-level talents, such as recipients of the National "Ten Thousand Talents Plan", Yangtze River Scholars, and National Outstanding Youth Science Fund. The total number of students exceeds 25,000, including 18,000 undergraduates, over 6,000 postgraduates, and more than 300 international students.

学校坚持开放办学，先后与30多个国家和地区的100余所高校建立了合作交流关系，是教育部“深化创新创业教育改革示范高校”“全国创新创业典型经验高校”，荣获“全国文明校园”“全国民族团结进步示范单位”等荣誉称号。面向未来，青海师范大学将继续秉承“勤学修德、为人师表”的校训，致力于建设特色鲜明、国内知名的高水平师范大学，为服务国家战略和地方经济社会发展作出更大贡献。

Adhering to an open education philosophy, the university has established cooperative exchanges with over 100 universities in more than 30 countries and regions. It is a "Demonstration University for Deepening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform" and a "National Model University for Innovation and Entrepreneurship" recognized by the Ministry of Education. It has also been honored with titles such as "National Civilized Campus" and "National Model Unit for Ethnic Unity and Progress".
