黔南民族医学高等专科学校创建于1985年11月，是经教育部批准设立的全日制普通高等专科学校，前身为黔南州第二人民医院改建而成，1992年正式更名为现用名。2003年，拥有45年办学历史的黔南州卫生学校整体并入，进一步整合了医学教育资源。学校是教育部、卫生部首批“卓越医生教育培养计划”改革试点院校，先后荣获“全国国防教育特色学校”“全国民族团结进步示范学校”“贵州省高水平高职院校立项建设单位”等称号，是贵州省基层农村卫生健康人才培养的重要基地。

Qiannan Medical College for Nationalities was founded in November 1985. It is a full-time public medical college approved by the Ministry of Education, evolved from the Second People's Hospital of Qiannan Prefecture, and officially renamed to its current name in 1992. In 2003, Qiannan Prefecture Health School with a 45-year history was merged into the college, further integrating medical education resources. As one of the first pilot institutions for the "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program" jointly initiated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health, it has been honored with titles such as "National Defense Education Characteristic School", "National Model School for Ethnic Unity and Progress", and "Guizhou Provincial High-Level Vocational College Construction Unit", serving as a key base for training rural health professionals in Guizhou.

学校位于全国优秀旅游城市——贵州省都匀市，现有杉木湖、青云湖和东山三个校区，总占地面积1167.17亩，校舍建筑面积31.27万平方米。设有临床医学、护理、药学、医学检验技术、医学影像技术、口腔医学等18个专业（方向），其中国家级财政支持专业2个，省级重点专业群2个、骨干专业3个。拥有三甲附属医院2所、教学实习基地82个，全日制在校生9300余人，面向全国24个省（市、自治区）招生，毕业生就业率连续多年保持在90%以上，为民族地区基层医疗卫生事业输送了6万余名实用型人才。

Located in Duyun City, a nationally recognized excellent tourist city in Guizhou Province, the college has three campuses (Shanmuhu, Qingyunhu, and Dongshan) covering a total area of 1,167.17 mu with a building area of 312,700 square meters. It offers 18 majors (directions) including Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, and Stomatology, featuring 2 nationally funded majors, 2 provincial key professional groups, and 3 provincial backbone majors. Equipped with 2 Grade III-A affiliated hospitals and 82 teaching practice bases, it enrolls over 9,300 full-time students from 24 provinces/municipalities/autonomous regions nationwide. With an employment rate consistently exceeding 90% in recent years, the college has cultivated over 60,000 practical medical talents for grassroots health services in ethnic regions.

学校坚持“突出民族性、地方性、实践性”的办学特色，注重民族医药文化传承与现代医学教育融合，开设苗医、侗医等民族医学特色课程，建有黔南州民族药重点实验室等5个州级科研平台。师资队伍中副高以上职称教师占比33%，硕士以上学位教师占30%，并与北京大学医学部、台湾中山医学大学等10余所高校建立合作关系，积极开展学术交流与学生互换项目，致力于培养“下得去、留得住、用得上”的高素质技能型医学人才。

Adhering to the educational philosophy of "highlighting ethnic characteristics, local relevance, and practicality", the college emphasizes the integration of ethnic medicine heritage with modern medical education, offering特色 courses on Miao and Dong ethnic medicine. It has established 5 prefecture-level research platforms including the Qiannan Ethnic Medicine Key Laboratory. The faculty includes 33% associate senior titles and 30% master's degree holders. Collaborating with over 10 institutions such as Peking University Health Science Center and Taiwan Chung Shan Medical University, it actively promotes academic exchanges and student exchange programs, dedicated to cultivating high-quality technical medical talents who "can go down, stay, and serve effectively" in grassroots areas.
