泉州信息工程学院是经教育部批准成立的全日制应用型本科高校，坐落于首批国家历史文化名城、东亚文化之都、海上丝绸之路起点——泉州市。学校前身为2002年创办的泉州信息职业技术学院，2014年升格为本科院校，2020年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估并被列为福建省硕士学位授予培育单位，2022年入选福建省一流应用型本科高校培育建设单位。

Quanzhou University of Information Engineering is a full-time application-oriented undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education, located in Quanzhou, one of the first national historical and cultural cities, the first East Asian Cultural Capital, and the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road. Formerly known as Quanzhou Information Vocational and Technical College founded in 2002, the university was upgraded to an undergraduate institution in 2014. In 2020, it passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education and was listed as a master's degree-granting cultivation unit in Fujian Province. In 2022, it was selected as a cultivation and construction unit for first-class application-oriented undergraduate universities in Fujian Province.

学校以工学为主，涵盖工、经、管、艺等学科，设有10个二级学院（中心），开设35个本科专业，形成电子信息、互联网、高端装备制造等六大专业群。现有全日制本科生16080人，联合培养硕士研究生31人；教职工中拥有国家级人才、闽江学者等高层次人才194人。近年来获国家教学成果二等奖2项，省级教学成果特等奖3项，拥有国家级一流专业建设点3个、省级一流专业建设点8个。

With engineering as its main discipline, the university covers engineering, economics, management, art and other disciplines. It has 10 secondary colleges (centers) and offers 35 undergraduate majors, forming six major groups including electronic information, internet, and high-end equipment manufacturing. Currently, there are 16,080 full-time undergraduate students and 31 jointly trained postgraduate students. Among the faculty, there are 194 high-level talents such as national-level talents and Minjiang Scholars. In recent years, it has won 2 second prizes of National Teaching Achievements and 3 special prizes of Provincial Teaching Achievements, with 3 national first-class professional construction sites and 8 provincial first-class professional construction sites.

校园占地894.2亩，绿化率超70%，获评“泉州市最美庭院绿化单位”。学校坚持“知行合一”校训，深化产教融合，与西门子、安踏等企业共建实训基地，近三年学生获省级以上学科竞赛奖项2000余项，毕业生50%以上在泉州就业，为区域经济社会发展培养了大批应用型人才。

The campus covers an area of 894.2 mu with a greening rate of over 70%, and has been awarded the "Most Beautiful Courtyard Greening Unit in Quanzhou". Adhering to the school motto of "Unity of Knowledge and Action", the university deepens the integration of industry and education, and has built training bases with enterprises such as Siemens and Anta. In the past three years, students have won more than 2,000 provincial and above academic competition awards, and more than 50% of graduates are employed in Quanzhou, cultivating a large number of application-oriented talents for regional economic and social development.
