衢州学院是一所以工为主、多学科协调发展、具有硕士学位授予权的公办全日制应用型高校。学校前身为创办于1985年的浙江工学院浙西分校(1993年更名为浙江工业大学浙西分校)，师范教育沿革于衢州师范学校、衢州市教师进修学校(浙江师范大学衢州进修部)。2010年，教育部批准同意在浙江工业大学浙西分校的基础上建立衢州学院。学校于2013年获批为国家级大学生创新创业训练计划高校，2015年获批为浙江省应用型建设试点示范学校，2018年顺利通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估，2021年被列为教育部新一轮本科教育教学审核评估试点院校，2024年获批硕士学位授予单位及材料与化工、机械、教育硕士学位授权点。

Quzhou University is a public full-time application-oriented university with a focus on engineering, coordinated development of multiple disciplines, and the right to grant master's degrees. The university's predecessor was the Western Zhejiang Branch of Zhejiang Institute of Technology founded in 1985 (renamed the Western Zhejiang Branch of Zhejiang University of Technology in 1993). Its normal education can be traced back to Quzhou Normal School and Quzhou Teachers' Training School (Quzhou Further Education Department of Zhejiang Normal University). In 2010, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of Quzhou University on the basis of the Western Zhejiang Branch of Zhejiang University of Technology. In 2013, the university was approved as a national university for college students' innovation and entrepreneurship training programs. In 2015, it was approved as a pilot demonstration school for application-oriented construction in Zhejiang Province. In 2018, it successfully passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education. In 2021, it was listed as a pilot university for the new round of undergraduate education and teaching audit and assessment by the Ministry of Education. In 2024, it was approved as a master's degree-granting unit with master's degree authorization points in Materials and Chemical Engineering, Machinery, and Education.

学校坐落于素有南孔圣地之称的国家历史文化名城衢州，校园占地867亩，设有化学与材料工程学院、机械工程学院、建筑工程学院、电气与信息工程学院、商学院(省际合作发展研究院)、教师教育学院、外国语学院、马克思主义学院、创新创业学院(工程实训中心)、体育工作部等10个学院(部)，开设涉及工学、教育学、管理学、经济学、文学、理学、艺术学等7大学科门类的本科专业33个，现有全日制普通本专科学生10000余人。拥有国家级一流本科专业1个、一流本科课程5门，省级一流学科5个、一流本科专业11个、优势特色专业6个、一流课程116门，入选中职与应用型本科一体化培养试点专业5个。校舍总建筑面积28.28万平方米，教学科研仪器设备资产总值3亿元，馆藏纸质图书123万余册。

Located in Quzhou, a national historical and cultural city known as the "Holy Land of Southern Confucianism", the university covers an area of 867 mu. It has 10 colleges (departments) including the College of Chemistry and Materials Engineering, College of Mechanical Engineering, College of Civil Engineering, College of Electrical and Information Engineering, Business School (Inter-provincial Cooperation and Development Research Institute), College of Teacher Education, College of Foreign Languages, School of Marxism, College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Engineering Training Center), and Department of Physical Education. It offers 33 undergraduate majors covering 7 disciplines including engineering, education, management, economics, literature, science, and art, with more than 10,000 full-time undergraduate and junior college students. It has 1 national first-class undergraduate major, 5 first-class undergraduate courses, 5 provincial first-class disciplines, 11 provincial first-class undergraduate majors, 6 advantageous and characteristic majors, 116 first-class courses, and 5 pilot majors for the integrated training of secondary vocational and application-oriented undergraduate education. The total construction area of school buildings is 282,800 square meters, the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 300 million yuan, and the collection of paper books is more than 1.23 million.

近年来，学校立足应用型、地方性、开放式发展定位，秉承“立心力行”校训精神，践行“育人为本、德育为先、能力为重、全面发展”育人理念，致力于推进内涵发展、特色发展、高质量发展，努力打造高水平特色鲜明的应用型大学。人才队伍不断壮大，现有教职员工865人，专任教师668人，其中正高级职称教师82人、副高级职称教师220人，具有博士学位教师345人，双师双能型教师480余人。拥有市级及以上人才230余人次，其中国家级人才14人次，省级人才80人次；市级重点创新团队4个。

The talent team continues to grow, with 865 faculty members and 668 full-time teachers, including 82 with senior professional titles, 220 with associate senior professional titles, 345 with doctoral degrees, and more than 480 "double-qualified" teachers. It has more than 230 person-times of talents at or above the municipal level, including 14 national-level talents, 80 provincial-level talents, and 4 municipal key innovation teams.

育人质量稳步提升，创新创业教育成果丰硕，学科竞赛累计获省级三等奖以上奖项5790余项，其中全国三等奖以上奖项1060余项，在全国新建本科院校大学生竞赛排行榜中位于前列。毕业生去向落实率持续保持高位。教育国际化稳步推进，与多个国家高校建立了稳定的合作关系，常态化招收各国来华国际学生，成立衢州学院·牧高笛丝路商学院并获批省第二批“一带一路”‘丝路学院’。南孔文化被评为浙江省高校校园文化品牌。累计获省级高等教育教学成果奖9项，获省级产教融合项目、省级教学改革项目等160余项。根据武书连2025年中国高校本科教学质量排行榜，学校人才培养质量实现了从本科新生质量等级E到毕业生质量等级D+的提升。

The quality of talent cultivation has been steadily improved, with fruitful achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship education. The university has won more than 5,790 awards above the provincial third prize in discipline competitions, including more than 1,060 awards above the national third prize, ranking among the top in the national competition rankings for college students in newly-built undergraduate universities. The employment rate of graduates has remained high. The internationalization of education has steadily advanced, with stable cooperative relations established with universities in many countries, and regular enrollment of international students from various countries. The Quzhou University·Mobi Garden Silk Road Business School was established and approved as the second batch of "the Belt and Road" 'Silk Road Colleges' in Zhejiang Province. Nan Kong Culture was rated as a campus culture brand of colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province. It has won 9 provincial higher education teaching achievement awards, and more than 160 provincial industry-education integration projects and provincial teaching reform projects. According to the Wu Shulian 2025 China University Undergraduate Teaching Quality Ranking, the university's talent cultivation quality has improved from grade E for freshmen to grade D+ for graduates.
