日照职业技术学院是1998年经教育部批准设立的山东省第一所公办高等职业院校,前身为1987年创建的日照市第三职业高中。2014年,日照广播电视大学(日照经贸学校)和日照水产技工学校并入学校。学校秉承“理论与实践并重,技术与人文融通”的办学理念,坚持服务区域经济社会发展和学生成长成才,是中国特色高水平高职学校30强、国家示范性高等职业院校、全国优质专科高等职业院校。
Rizhao Polytechnic is the first public higher vocational college in Shandong Province approved by the Ministry of Education in 1998, formerly known as Rizhao No. 3 Vocational High School founded in 1987. In 2014, Rizhao Radio and Television University (Rizhao Economic and Trade School) and Rizhao Aquatic Products Technical School were merged into the college. Adhering to the educational philosophy of "equal emphasis on theory and practice, integration of technology and humanities", the college is committed to serving regional economic and social development and students' growth. It ranks among the top 30 national high-level vocational schools with Chinese characteristics, and is a national model higher vocational college and a national high-quality junior college.
学校现有卧龙山和天台山两个校区,设有海洋工程学院、建筑工程学院、机电工程学院等10个二级学院,开设41个专业,其中国家示范重点建设专业5个、中央财政支持重点建设专业2个、省品牌特色专业10个。现有全日制在校生15000余人,教职工988人,拥有国家级教学团队1个、省级教学团队5个,泰山学者海外特聘专家、享受国务院特殊津贴专家等省级以上优秀教师57人次。
The college has two campuses: Wolongshan and Tiantaishan, with 10 secondary colleges including the College of Marine Engineering, College of Civil Engineering, and College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, offering 41 majors. Among them, there are 5 national demonstration key construction majors, 2 key construction majors supported by central finance, and 10 provincial brand and characteristic majors. It has over 15,000 full-time students and 988 faculty members, including 1 national teaching team, 5 provincial teaching teams, and 57 outstanding teachers at or above the provincial level such as Taishan Scholars Overseas Distinguished Experts and experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council.
