沈阳航空航天大学是一所以航空宇航为特色，工、理、文、经、管、艺等多学科协调发展的高等院校，创建于1952年，前身为沈阳航空工业学校，历经沈阳航空工业专科学校、沈阳航空学院等发展阶段，2010年更名为沈阳航空航天大学。学校是辽宁省人民政府与教育部、中国航空工业集团公司共建高校，入选国家“中西部高校基础能力建设工程”、辽宁省一流大学重点建设高校，被誉为“东北振兴人才培养的摇篮”和“航空航天科技创新的基地”。

Shenyang Aerospace University is an institution of higher education with aerospace as its特色, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines including engineering, science, liberal arts, economics, management, and arts. Founded in 1952, its predecessor was Shenyang Aviation Industry School, which went through stages of development such as Shenyang Aviation Industry College and Shenyang Institute of Aeronautics. It was renamed Shenyang Aerospace University in 2010. The university is a joint construction institution by the People's Government of Liaoning Province, the Ministry of Education, and Aviation Industry Corporation of China. It has been selected into the "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in Central and Western China" and is a key construction university of Liaoning Provincial First-class University. It is known as "the cradle of talent cultivation for Northeast revitalization" and "the base for aerospace science and technology innovation".

学校现有两个校区，总占地面积1730亩，校舍建筑面积84.3万平方米。设有26个教学单位，拥有63个本科专业，涵盖工学、理学、文学、经济学、管理学、艺术学等六大学科门类。拥有1个国家级一流本科专业建设点，25个省级一流本科专业建设点，5个国家级特色专业，3个国家级卓越工程师教育培养计划试点专业。学校师资力量雄厚，现有教职工1600余人，其中专任教师1000余人，具有高级职称的教师占比达45%以上，拥有双聘院士、国家级领军人才、辽宁省“兴辽英才计划”等各类高层次人才100余人次。

The university currently has two campuses, covering a total area of 1,730 mu (approximately 115.3 hectares), with a building area of 843,000 square meters. It has 26 teaching units and offers 63 undergraduate majors, covering six disciplines including engineering, science, literature, economics, management, and art. It has 1 national-level first-class undergraduate major construction site, 25 provincial-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 5 national-level characteristic majors, and 3 national-level pilot majors of the Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program. The university has a strong faculty, with more than 1,600 faculty members, including over 1,000 full-time teachers. Teachers with senior professional titles account for more than 45%, and there are more than 100 person-times of various high-level talents such as double-employed academicians, national-level leading talents, and Liaoning Province "Xingliao Talents Program".

在科研创新方面，学校拥有国家级科研平台2个，省部级科研平台40余个，形成了航空宇航制造工程、飞行器设计与工程、航空发动机等特色优势学科方向。近年来，学校承担国家自然科学基金、国家社会科学基金、国家科技重大专项等国家级项目100余项，获得省部级以上科技奖励50余项。学校注重产学研用结合，与航空工业集团、中国商飞等企业建立了紧密的合作关系，积极推动科技成果转化，为我国航空航天事业和地方经济社会发展作出了重要贡献。

In terms of scientific research and innovation, the university has 2 national-level scientific research platforms and more than 40 provincial-level scientific research platforms, forming characteristic and advantageous discipline directions such as aerospace manufacturing engineering, aircraft design and engineering, and aero-engines. In recent years, the university has undertaken more than 100 national-level projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Foundation, and the National Science and Technology Major Project, and has won more than 50 scientific and technological awards at or above the provincial and ministerial level. The university attaches importance to the integration of industry, education, research and application, has established close cooperative relations with enterprises such as Aviation Industry Corporation of China and COMAC, actively promotes the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and has made important contributions to China's aerospace industry and local economic and social development.

学校坚持立德树人根本任务，着力培养高素质应用型、创新型人才，现有全日制在校生2万余人。学生在全国大学生创新创业大赛、数学建模竞赛、航空航天模型锦标赛等赛事中屡获佳绩。毕业生就业率连续多年保持在90%以上，深受航空航天、国防军工、地方企事业单位等用人单位的青睐。学校积极开展国际交流与合作，与俄罗斯、乌克兰、英国、美国等20多个国家的高校建立了友好合作关系，开展了联合培养、学生交换、学术交流等多种形式的合作项目，国际化办学水平不断提升。
