华南农业大学是国家“双一流”建设高校，广东省和农业农村部共建的省部共建大学，广东省高水平大学建设高校。学校办学历史悠久，可追溯至1909年创办的广东全省农事试验场及附设农业讲习所，历经百年发展，已成为一所以农业科学、生命科学为优势，农、工、文、理、经、管、法、艺等多学科协调发展的综合性大学。

South China Agricultural University is a national "Double First-Class" construction university, a provincial-ministerial co-constructed university jointly built by Guangdong Province and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and a high-level university construction university in Guangdong Province. With a long history dating back to the Guangdong Provincial Agricultural Experiment Station and its attached Agricultural Training Institute founded in 1909, the university has developed into a comprehensive university with advantages in agricultural science and life science, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines including agriculture, engineering, liberal arts, science, economics, management, law, and art after a century of development.

学校学科实力雄厚，拥有10个博士后科研流动站，12个一级学科博士学位授权点，28个一级学科硕士学位授权点，16个硕士专业学位类别。农业科学、植物学与动物学、环境科学与生态学、化学、工程学、生物学与生物化学、材料科学等7个学科进入ESI全球前1%。学校师资队伍结构合理，现有教职工约3300人，其中中国科学院院士1人，中国工程院院士2人，国家级人才100余人。

The university has strong disciplinary strength, with 10 post-doctoral research stations, 12 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 28 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, and 16 master's professional degree categories. Seven disciplines including Agricultural Sciences, Plant and Animal Science, Environmental Science and Ecology, Chemistry, Engineering, Biology and Biochemistry, and Materials Science have entered the top 1% of ESI globally. The university has a well-structured faculty team, with approximately 3,300 faculty and staff, including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and more than 100 national-level talents.

学校始终坚持立德树人根本任务，着力培养知农爱农、全面发展的高素质人才。现有全日制本科生约3.8万人，研究生约1.3万人。校园占地8261亩，环境优美，设施完善，为师生提供了良好的学习、工作和生活条件。学校积极开展国际交流与合作，与50多个国家和地区的100多所大学及研究机构建立了合作关系。

The university always adheres to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and strives to cultivate high-quality talents who know and love agriculture and develop in an all-round way. Currently, there are approximately 38,000 full-time undergraduates and 13,000 graduate students. Covering an area of 8,261 mu, the campus has a beautiful environment and complete facilities, providing good learning, working and living conditions for teachers and students.
