山东工艺美术学院位于山东省济南市，是一所特色鲜明的综合性高等艺术院校，以工艺美术为优势，涵盖艺术学、文学、工学等多个学科领域。学校始建于1973年，前身为山东省工艺美术学校，1982年经教育部批准改建为山东工艺美术学院，2017年成为山东省省级博士立项建设单位。学校坚持“以文化人、以艺育人”的办学理念，致力于培养具有创新精神和实践能力的高素质艺术人才，在艺术设计、美术创作、非物质文化遗产传承等领域享有较高声誉。

Shandong University of Art & Design is located in Jinan, Shandong Province. It is a comprehensive higher art institution with distinct characteristics, taking arts and crafts as its advantage and covering multiple disciplines such as art, literature, and engineering. Founded in 1973, the university was formerly known as Shandong School of Arts and Crafts. In 1982, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be restructured into Shandong University of Art & Design, and in 2017, it became a provincial doctoral program construction unit in Shandong Province. Adhering to the educational philosophy of "Cultivating People with Culture and Art", the university is committed to cultivating high-quality artistic talents with innovative spirit and practical ability, enjoying a high reputation in the fields of art design, art creation, and intangible cultural heritage inheritance.

学校拥有千佛山、长清两个校区，占地面积1000余亩，教学科研仪器设备总值近2亿元。设有视觉传达设计学院、建筑与景观设计学院、工业设计学院等15个教学单位，开设39个本科专业，其中视觉传达设计、产品设计、环境设计等专业入选国家级一流本科专业建设点。学校师资力量雄厚，现有教职工800余人，其中高级职称人员300余人，拥有一批享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家、全国优秀教师等高层次人才。

The university has two campuses, Qianfoshan and Changqing, covering an area of more than 1,000 mu, with a total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment of nearly 200 million yuan. It has 15 teaching units including the School of Visual Communication Design, the School of Architecture and Landscape Design, and the School of Industrial Design, offering 39 undergraduate majors. Among them, visual communication design, product design, environmental design and other majors have been selected into the national first-class undergraduate major construction sites. The university has a strong faculty, with more than 800 faculty members, including more than 300 with senior professional titles, and a group of high-level talents such as experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council and national excellent teachers.

近年来，学校积极推进教育教学改革，深化产教融合、校企合作，与国内外多所高校和企业建立了合作关系。学生在国内外各类艺术设计大赛中屡获佳绩，毕业生就业率始终保持在全省高校前列。学校注重国际交流与合作，先后与德国、法国、英国等20多个国家和地区的高校开展学术交流和合作办学项目，为学生提供了广阔的国际视野和发展平台。作为山东省重点建设的应用型特色名校，山东工艺美术学院正朝着建设国内一流、国际知名的高水平艺术院校目标稳步迈进。
