山东农业工程学院是山东省省属普通本科院校，始建于1953年，历经山东省农林干部学校、山东省农业管理干部学院等发展阶段，2013年改建为本科院校并更现名。学校秉承“厚德、自强、求是、笃行”的校训，坚持“以学生为中心、以育人为根本、以服务求发展、以特色强内涵”的办学理念，形成了农工融合的鲜明办学特色，致力于培养知农爱农的高素质应用型人才。

Shandong Agriculture and Engineering University is a public undergraduate university in Shandong Province, founded in 1953. It has gone through development stages such as Shandong Agricultural and Forestry Cadre School and Shandong Agricultural Management Cadre College, and was restructured into an undergraduate institution with its current name in 2013. Adhering to the school motto of "Virtue, Self-improvement, Seeking Truth, and Practice", the university upholds the educational philosophy of "student-centered, education-oriented, development through service, and connotation strengthening through characteristics", forming a distinct educational feature of integrating agriculture and engineering, and is committed to cultivating high-quality applied talents who understand and love agriculture.

学校现有济南、淄博两个校区，占地面积3122.78亩，校舍建筑面积62.21万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值1.48亿元，图书馆纸质图书134万余册。设有16个二级学院，40个本科专业，涵盖农、工、理、管、经、艺、文7大学科门类，拥有全日制本专科在校生18800余人。师资队伍中高级职称教师317人，硕士及以上学历占比86.9%，拥有泰山产业领军人才、省级教学团队等一批高层次教学科研力量。

The university currently has two campuses in Jinan and Zibo, covering an area of 3122.78 mu, with a building area of 622,100 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 148 million yuan, and the library has more than 1.34 million paper books. It has 16 secondary colleges and 40 undergraduate majors, covering 7 disciplines including agriculture, engineering, science, management, economics, art, and literature, with more than 18,800 full-time undergraduate and junior college students. Among the faculty, 317 have senior professional titles, 86.9% have master's degrees or above, and there are a number of high-level teaching and research forces such as Taishan Industry Leading Talents and provincial teaching teams.

学校重视学科建设与科研创新，建有3个山东省高校重点实验室、3个省级工程技术研究中心、2个省级协同创新中心等30余个省部级科研平台，近年来获国家科技进步二等奖1项、省级科研奖励6项，授权国家专利216项。积极推进产教融合，与华为、360集团等企业共建现代产业学院，拥有校外实践教学基地140余个，形成了“产学研用”协同育人体系，先后获评山东省高等学校德育工作优秀高校、山东省科技兴农先进集体等荣誉称号。

The university attaches importance to discipline construction and scientific research innovation, with more than 30 provincial-level scientific research platforms such as 3 key laboratories of Shandong universities, 3 provincial engineering technology research centers, and 2 provincial collaborative innovation centers. In recent years, it has won 1 second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 6 provincial scientific research awards, and 216 national patents. Actively promoting the integration of production and education, it has jointly established modern industrial colleges with enterprises such as Huawei and 360 Group, and has more than 140 off-campus practical teaching bases, forming a "production-education-research-application" collaborative education system. It has been awarded the honorary titles of Excellent University in Moral Education Work of Shandong Provincial Colleges and Universities, Advanced Collective in Science and Technology Promoting Agriculture in Shandong Province, etc.
