山东传媒职业学院是经山东省人民政府批准成立、教育部备案的省内唯一一所广播影视及大众传媒类公办高等职业院校，隶属于山东省广播电视局，与山东省教育厅共管。学院前身是1960年创建的山东省广播学校，1982年更名为山东省广播电视学校，2008年经山东省人民政府批准、教育部备案成立山东传媒职业学院，2014年山东省出版技工学校并入学院。

Shandong Communication & Media College is the only public higher vocational college specializing in radio, film, television and mass media in Shandong Province, approved by the People's Government of Shandong Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is affiliated to Shandong Provincial Bureau of Radio, Television and Film, and co-administered by Shandong Provincial Department of Education. The college originated from Shandong Radio School founded in 1960, which was renamed Shandong Radio and Television School in 1982. In 2008, with the approval of the People's Government of Shandong Province and registration with the Ministry of Education, it was established as Shandong Communication & Media College. In 2014, Shandong Publishing Technical School was merged into the college.

学院建有章丘校区和文东校区，建筑面积共18.14万平方米，章丘校区为主校区，占地面积八百余亩，建筑面积16.32万平方米。目前设有影视制作系、新闻传播系、信息工程系、数媒动画系、艺术设计系、学前教育与戏剧系、基础教学部、马克思主义学院等教学机构37个专业，面向全国16个省份招生，现有在校生10000余人，教职工400余人。

The college has two campuses: Zhangqiu Campus and Wendong Campus, with a total construction area of 181,400 square meters. The Zhangqiu Campus, as the main campus, covers an area of over 800 mu (about 53.33 hectares) with a construction area of 163,200 square meters. Currently, it has teaching institutions such as the Department of Film and Television Production, Department of Journalism and Communication, Department of Information Engineering, Department of Digital Media and Animation, Department of Art and Design, Department of Preschool Education and Drama, Basic Teaching Department, and School of Marxism, offering 37 majors. It enrolls students from 16 provinces across the country, with more than 10,000 full-time students and over 400 faculty members.

学院以“依托传媒，服务传媒”为办学理念，“校媒融合”为办学特色，“唯真尚能”为校训，拥有建筑面积1万平方米的省级广电媒体标准大型演播中心，建有600平方米高清演播室、200平方米高清演播室、100平方米4K超高清演播室等实训场地70余个，牵头成立全国融媒体行业产教融合共同体、山东省传媒职业教育教学指导委员会等，先后荣获省级文明单位、山东省绿色学校等称号。

With the school-running philosophy of "relying on media and serving media", the school-running characteristic of "integration of school and media", and the school motto of "Seeking Truth and Striving for Excellence", the college has a large-scale studio center of 10,000 square meters meeting provincial radio and television media standards. It has more than 70 training venues including a 600-square-meter HD studio, a 200-square-meter HD studio, and a 100-square-meter 4K ultra-high-definition studio. It has taken the lead in establishing the National Industry-Education Integration Community for the融媒体 Industry, Shandong Provincial Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee for Media, etc., and has successively won titles such as Provincial Civilized Unit and Shandong Provincial Green School.
