山东石油化工学院是经教育部批准设立的全日制公办普通本科高校，坐落于山东省东营市。学校肇始于1973年创建的胜利油田技术学校，历经胜利油田师范学校、胜利油田教育学院、胜利油田师范专科学校、中国石油大学胜利学院等办学时期，2021年获批转设为省属公办普通本科高校，2022年2月18日正式揭牌。作为山东省唯一一所由独立学院转设为省属公办普通本科的高校，也是山东省唯一省市合建普通公办本科高校和东营市唯一本科高校，学校始终与共和国石油工业同频共振，在黄河三角洲的沃土上成长为能源领域人才培养与科技创新的重要基地。

Shandong Institute of Petroleum and Chemical Technology is a full-time public undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education, located in Dongying City, Shandong Province. Tracing its roots to the Shengli Oilfield Technical School founded in 1973, the university has evolved through phases including Shengli Oilfield Normal School, Shengli Oilfield Education College, Shengli Oilfield Teachers College, and China University of Petroleum Shengli College. In 2021, it was approved to be transformed into a provincial public undergraduate university, officially unveiled on February 18, 2022. As the only university in Shandong Province transformed from an independent college to a provincial public undergraduate institution, and the only municipal-co-built public undergraduate university in Shandong and the sole undergraduate university in Dongying, it has grown into a key base for talent cultivation and technological innovation in the energy sector, resonating with China's petroleum industry development.

学校占地面积67.31万平方米，校舍建筑面积31.05万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值2.61亿元，图书馆藏书总量107.58万册。设有12个教学机构，开设41个本科专业，涵盖工学、理学、经济学、管理学、文学、教育学、艺术学、医学、法学等9大学科门类，形成以石油、化工、机械等工科为主，多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。拥有9个省级科研平台、23个厅局级科研平台，以及5个省级示范性特色学院，其中碳中和现代产业学院入选首批山东省现代产业学院建设名单。

Covering an area of 673,100 square meters with a building area of 310,500 square meters, the university boasts teaching and research equipment worth 261 million yuan and a library collection of 1.0758 million volumes. It comprises 12 teaching units offering 41 undergraduate programs across 9 disciplines including engineering, science, economics, management, literature, education, art, medicine, and law, forming a discipline system centered on engineering fields like petroleum, chemical engineering, and machinery with coordinated multidisciplinary development. The university houses 9 provincial-level research platforms, 23 department-level research platforms, and 5 provincial demonstration characteristic colleges, among which the Carbon Neutrality Modern Industry College is listed in the first batch of Shandong Provincial Modern Industry College construction projects.

现有教职工650余人，其中博士170余人，国家级、省部级人才24人，山东省高校黄大年式教师团队2个。面向全国28个省市（自治区）招生，全日制在校生12000余人。近三年承担各级科研项目500余项，获省部级以上科研成果奖270余项，授权发明专利130余件。学生在全国大学生化工设计竞赛、国际大学生智能农业装备创新大赛等高水平竞赛中获奖1600余项，其中一等奖及以上205项，毕业生就业率始终位列全省前列，为国家能源战略和区域经济社会发展提供了坚实的人才支撑和智力保障。

The university has over 650 faculty members, including more than 170 doctors, 24 national and provincial-level talents, and 2 Huang Danian-style teacher teams of Shandong universities. It enrolls students from 28 provinces and municipalities, with over 12,000 full-time undergraduates. In recent three years, it has undertaken more than 500 research projects at various levels, won over 270 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research awards, and obtained more than 130 invention patents. Students have won over 1,600 awards in high-level competitions such as the National College Students Chemical Engineering Design Competition and International College Students Intelligent Agricultural Equipment Innovation Competition, including 205 first prizes and above. The employment rate of graduates has consistently ranked among the top in Shandong Province, providing solid talent support and intellectual guarantee for the national energy strategy and regional economic and social development.
