山东交通学院是一所以交通为特色的多科性省属普通本科高校，坐落于山东省济南市。学校始建于1956年，历经多年发展，已成为山东省高等教育体系中培养应用型人才、服务交通行业和区域经济社会发展的重要基地。

学校学科专业布局合理，涵盖工学、管理学、经济学、理学、文学、艺术学等多个学科门类，形成了以交通类专业为核心，工、管、文、理等多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。现有全日制在校学生两万余人，教职工千余人，其中高级职称教师占比超过40%。
