沈阳工学院是经国家教育部批准设立的普通本科高等学校，前身为1999年始建的沈阳理工大学应用技术学院。2013年，该校与沈阳农业大学科学技术学院联合转设为沈阳工学院，2017年成为辽宁省普通本科高校向应用型转变示范高校。学校位于沈抚改革创新示范区，校园北依浑河，占地面积1680亩，建筑面积46.8万平方米，现有全日制本专科生和留学生约1.85万人，设有12个教学单位，42个本科专业和6个专科专业。

Shenyang Institute of Technology is an ordinary undergraduate higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Its predecessor was the College of Applied Technology of Shenyang Ligong University, founded in 1999. In 2013, the college was jointly transformed and established as Shenyang Institute of Technology together with the College of Science and Technology of Shenyang Agricultural University. In 2017, it became a demonstration university for the transformation to application-oriented universities among ordinary undergraduate colleges and universities in Liaoning Province. The university is located in the Shenfu Reform and Innovation Demonstration Zone, with its campus adjacent to the Hunhe River to the north. It covers an area of 1,680 mu (about 112 hectares) with a building area of 468,000 square meters. Currently, it has approximately 18,500 full-time undergraduate and junior college students as well as international students, and consists of 12 teaching units offering 42 undergraduate programs and 6 junior college programs.

学校以“建设最好的应用型大学”为目标，秉持“以人为本、学以致用”的办学理念，弘扬“追求卓越、互助利他”的校训精神。现有自有专任教师811人，其中高级职称教师占比33.30%，硕士、博士学位教师占比97.17%，双师双能型教师320人。教学设施方面，建有16个实验中心、155个实验室（含7个省级实验示范中心），教学科研仪器设备总值约1.78亿元，图书馆馆藏纸质图书约176万册、电子图书约157万册。

The university aims to "build the best application-oriented university", adhering to the educational philosophy of "people-oriented, learning for application" and promoting the school motto of "pursuing excellence, mutual assistance and altruism". It has 811 full-time teachers, among whom 33.30% have senior professional titles, 97.17% have master's or doctoral degrees, and 320 are double-qualified and double-capable teachers. In terms of teaching facilities, there are 16 experimental centers and 155 laboratories (including 7 provincial-level experimental demonstration centers). The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is approximately 178 million yuan. The library has a collection of about 1.76 million paper books and 1.57 million e-books.

在学科专业建设上，学校拥有国家级综合改革试点专业1个、国家第一批卓越农林人才教育培养计划改革试点2项，国家级一流专业建设点3个、省级一流示范专业14个。近五年，学生获国家级竞赛奖励816项、省级奖励10226项，授权专利903项，承担国家自然科学基金等国家级课题2项、省部级课题153项。学校与15个国家的40所高校建立合作关系，开展师生互派、学分互认、本硕连读等项目，并建立了多个国际科研合作平台。

In terms of discipline and professional construction, the university has 1 national comprehensive reform pilot major, 2 national first-batch reform pilots for the education and training program of outstanding agricultural and forestry talents, 3 national first-class professional construction sites, and 14 provincial first-class demonstration majors. In the past five years, students have won 816 national-level competition awards and 10,226 provincial-level awards, obtained 903 authorized patents, and undertaken 2 national-level projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation and 153 provincial-level projects. The university has established cooperative relations with 40 universities in 15 countries, carrying out programs such as teacher-student exchange, credit recognition, and undergraduate-master continuous study, and has established multiple international scientific research cooperation platforms.
