上海建桥学院是一所以应用型本科教育为主，培养服务国家和地区经济社会发展所需高素质应用型人才的民办普通高等学校。学校创办于2000年4月，2005年9月升格为本科院校，2010年7月获得学士学位授予权，2015年秋通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估。学校坐落于上海浦东康桥园区，校园占地面积53.25万平方米，建筑面积约42万平方米。

Shanghai Jianqiao University is a private ordinary institution of higher education focusing on application-oriented undergraduate education, dedicated to cultivating high-quality applied talents needed for the economic and social development of the country and regions. Founded in April 2000, the university was upgraded to an undergraduate institution in September 2005, obtained the right to grant bachelor's degrees in July 2010, and passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education in the autumn of 2015. Located in Kangqiao Park, Pudong, Shanghai, the campus covers an area of 532,500 square meters with a building area of approximately 420,000 square meters.

学校设有14个二级学院，开设50余个本科专业，涵盖工学、管理学、经济学、文学、理学、艺术学、教育学等七大学科门类。现有全日制在校本科生2.3万余人，教职工1300余人，其中专任教师1000余人，具有高级职称的教师占比近40%。学校坚持“以人为本、德育为先、产教融合、特色发展”的办学理念，注重培养学生的实践能力和创新精神。

The university has 14 secondary colleges, offering more than 50 undergraduate majors covering seven disciplines: engineering, management, economics, literature, science, art, and education. Currently, there are over 23,000 full-time undergraduate students and more than 1,300 faculty members, including over 1,000 full-time teachers, with nearly 40% of them having senior professional titles. Adhering to the school-running philosophy of "people-oriented, moral education first, integration of industry and education, and characteristic development", the university focuses on cultivating students' practical ability and innovative spirit.
