石家庄铁路职业技术学院位于河北省省会石家庄市，是一所具有优良传统的省属公办全日制普通高校。2010年5月，被确定为国家示范性高等职业院校；2019年7月，被确定为国家优质高等职业院校；2019年12月，成功入选中国特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划高水平专业群建设单位。

Shijiazhuang Railway Vocational and Technical College is a provincial public full-time general college with a fine tradition, located in Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province. In May 2010, it was identified as a national demonstration higher vocational college; in July 2019, it was designated as a national high-quality higher vocational college; and in December 2019, it was successfully selected as a high-level professional group construction unit in the "China特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划" (China's High-level Vocational Schools and Professional Groups Construction Plan).

学院始建于1950年9月，前身为中国人民解放军铁道兵工程学院财务材料系；1984年1月并入铁道部，同年6月改为石家庄铁道学院中专部；1993年1月改建为石家庄铁路工程学校，1994年1月独立办学，隶属于中国铁道建筑总公司；2000年7月改建升格为石家庄铁路工程职业技术学院，2003年9月更为现名；2005年8月移交河北省人民政府管理。现为教育部首批现代学徒制试点单位、首批全国职业院校数字校园建设实验校、首批国家职业院校文化素质教育基地建设单位、教育部--讯方产学合作协同育人项目ICT师资培训基地。

The college was founded in September 1950, formerly the Financial Materials Department of the Railway Corps Engineering College of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In January 1984, it was merged into the Ministry of Railways, and in June of the same year, it was renamed the Technical Secondary School Department of Shijiazhuang Railway Institute. In January 1993, it was restructured into Shijiazhuang Railway Engineering School, and in January 1994, it became an independent institution affiliated to China Railway Construction Corporation. In July 2000, it was upgraded to Shijiazhuang Railway Engineering Vocational and Technical College, renamed to its current name in September 2003, and transferred to the management of the People's Government of Hebei Province in August 2005. It is now one of the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of Education, the first batch of national vocational college digital campus construction experimental schools, the first batch of national vocational college cultural quality education base construction units, and the ICT teacher training base of the Ministry of Education - Xunfang Industry-University Cooperation and Collaborative Education Project.

学院坚持"面向地方、服务河北，面向行业、服务铁路"办学宗旨，积极对接区域经济社会发展和"一带一路"倡议，服务铁道运输、城市轨道交通和现代服务业等领域，扎实开展中高职贯通培养、高职教育、应用型本科工程教育、国际合作办学等多模式办学。2016年教育部批准与俄罗斯交通大学联合举办国际交通学院，2017-2022年已招收五个专业近1200名学生。毕业生"职业素养好、专业技能精、适应能力强、创新精神优"，60%以上在中国国家铁路集团有限公司等央企或世界500强企业就业。

Adhering to the school-running tenet of "facing the local area to serve Hebei, facing the industry to serve the railway", the college actively aligns with regional economic and social development and the "Belt and Road" initiative, serving fields such as railway transportation, urban rail transit, and modern service industries. It solidly carries out multi-mode education including secondary and higher vocational integration training, higher vocational education, applied undergraduate engineering education, and international cooperative education. In 2016, the Ministry of Education approved the joint establishment of the International Transportation College with the Russian University of Transport, and from 2017 to 2022, nearly 1,200 students were enrolled in five majors. The graduates are "good in professional quality, proficient in professional skills, strong in adaptability, and excellent in innovative spirit", with more than 60% employed in central enterprises such as China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. or Fortune Global 500 companies.
