商洛学院是教育部批准、陕西省政府举办的全日制普通本科院校，坐落于秦楚文化交汇地、革命老区、中国当代著名作家贾平凹故乡——商洛市。学校肇始于1976年成立的陕西省商洛地区五七师范学院，历经陕西师范大学商洛专修科、商洛师范专科学校等发展阶段，2006年经教育部批准升格为本科院校，2011年成为省市共建高校，2014年被列入陕西省首批转型发展试点高校，2017年入选全国百所产教融合发展工程应用型高校，2018年被确定为陕西省“一流学院”建设单位。

Shangluo University is a full-time ordinary undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and run by the Shaanxi Provincial Government. It is located in Shangluo City, a revolutionary old area where the Qin and Chu cultures meet and the hometown of the famous contemporary Chinese writer Jia Pingwa. The university originated from the Wuqi Normal College of Shangluo Prefecture, Shaanxi Province, established in 1976. It has gone through the development stages of Shangluo Specialized Training Department of Shaanxi Normal University and Shangluo Teachers College. In 2006, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In 2011, it became a university co-constructed by the province and the city. In 2014, it was listed as the first batch of pilot universities for transformation and development in Shaanxi Province. In 2017, it was selected into the national 100 application-oriented universities for the integration of industry and education development project. In 2018, it was identified as the "first-class college" construction unit in Shaanxi Province.

学校现有3个校区，占地900余亩，设有11个二级学院和体育教学研究部，开办41个本科专业，涵盖人文科学、理学、工学、农学、管理学、艺术学等多个学科门类。拥有省级一流本科专业建设点12个，省级特色专业、专业综合改革试点项目等多项省级教学质量工程项目。学校坚持“立足商洛，面向地方，服务基层”的办学定位，以培养应用型人才为目标，与多所高校建立对口支援关系，积极服务地方经济社会发展。

The university currently has 3 campuses, covering an area of more than 900 mu. It has 11 secondary colleges and a physical education teaching and research department, offering 41 undergraduate majors, covering humanities, science, engineering, agriculture, management, art and other disciplines. It has 12 provincial-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, provincial-level characteristic majors, professional comprehensive reform pilot projects and many other provincial-level teaching quality engineering projects. Adhering to the school-running orientation of "based in Shangluo, facing the local area and serving the grassroots", the university aims to cultivate applied talents, has established counterpart support relations with many universities, and actively serves local economic and social development.
