上饶师范学院坐落于素有“上乘富饶、生态之都”“八方通衢”和“豫章第一门户”美誉的江西省上饶市，前身是1958年创建的上饶师范专科学校，历经赣东北大学、上饶师范专科学校等发展阶段，2000年升格为本科院校并更名为上饶师范学院。学校2022年入选教育部师范教育协同提质计划重点支持院校，2024年成功获批硕士学位授予单位，是一所以教师教育为特色、多学科协调发展的公办全日制普通本科高校。

Shangrao Normal University is located in Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, known as "Abundant Land", "Ecological Capital", "Thoroughfare of Eight Directions" and "First Gateway of Yuzhang". Its predecessor was Shangrao Teachers College founded in 1958, which went through development stages such as Ganbei University and Shangrao Teachers College. It was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Shangrao Normal University in 2000. In 2022, the university was selected as a key support institution in the Ministry of Education's Teacher Education Collaborative Quality Improvement Plan, and successfully approved as a master's degree-granting unit in 2024. It is a public full-time ordinary undergraduate university with teacher education as its characteristic and multidisciplinary coordinated development.

学校校园占地面积1594亩，校舍建筑总面积59.53万平方米，现有在校生16050人，教职工1291人，其中教授106人、副教授260人，博士305人。设有14个二级学院，37个本科专业，拥有化学、数学与应用数学2个国家特色专业，7个省级一流本科专业建设点，1个省“双一流”学科和5个省级重点学科。教学科研设施完善，图书馆馆藏纸质图书181万册、电子图书178万册，建有18个省级科研平台和7个省高校实验教学示范中心。

The university covers an area of 1594 mu with a total campus building area of 595,300 square meters. It currently has 16,050 students and 1,291 faculty members, including 106 professors, 260 associate professors, and 305 doctors. It has 14 secondary colleges and 37 undergraduate majors, including 2 national characteristic majors (Chemistry, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics), 7 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 1 provincial "Double First-Class" discipline and 5 provincial key disciplines. The teaching and research facilities are complete, with 1.81 million paper books and 1.78 million e-books in the library. There are 18 provincial-level scientific research platforms and 7 provincial university experimental teaching demonstration centers.
