上饶幼儿师范高等专科学校是2017年经江西省人民政府批准整合原上饶师范学校和万年师范学校资源设立的全日制公办普通高校,其办学历史可追溯至1939年创办的上饶师资训练所,校训为“蒙以养正、师以世范”。学校规划面积810亩,一期已建成454.31亩,建筑面积21.26万平方米,附属幼儿园占地25亩。现有教职员工418人,专任教师360人,其中硕士学位217人,副高以上职称94人,双师型教师210人;在校生10874人,面向全国23个省份招生,与多所本科院校开展联合培养,开设学前教育、小学教育等8个专业,形成了以师范教育为特色的办学体系。
