Shanghai Theatre Academy is a higher education institution in China dedicated to cultivating professionals in the field of theatrical arts. Its predecessor was the Shanghai Municipal Experimental Theatre School founded in 1945. The academy currently has four campuses: Huashan Road, Lianhua Road, Hongqiao Road and Pujiang. It boasts advanced teaching facilities, including professional theaters, rehearsal halls and laboratories. With a strong faculty, it has gathered many well-known artists and scholars at home and abroad, forming a unique teaching system and academic tradition.
