苏丹卡布斯大学（Sultan Qaboos University）是阿曼最高学府，成立于1986年9月，坐落于首都马斯喀特市哈瓦迪区。作为阿曼唯一的公立大学，其建校初衷是满足国家对专业人才的迫切需求，培养科技、医疗、工程等领域的本土精英。学校初始设有医学院、工学院、理学院、农学院、伊斯兰教育学院5个学院，首批学生532人，如今已发展为拥有9个学院、约1.5万名在校生的综合性大学，学科覆盖医学、工程、商业、法律、教育等多个领域。

Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), established in September 1986 in the Al Khoudh district of Muscat, is Oman's premier public university. As the country's only public higher education institution, its founding mission was to address Oman's urgent need for specialized talent and cultivate local elites in fields such as technology, healthcare, and engineering. Initially comprising 5 colleges—Medicine, Engineering, Science, Agriculture, and Islamic Education—with 532 pioneering students, SQU has evolved into a comprehensive university with 9 colleges and approximately 15,000 enrolled students, offering programs spanning medicine, engineering, business, law, education, and other disciplines.

校园建筑以白色和粉红色砂岩为特色，沿轴线布局，一端指向麦加，体现浓厚的伊斯兰文化特色。校内设有大学清真寺，几乎所有建筑均配备祈祷室，并实行男女分区进出及课堂座位隔离制度。学校每年经费约4500万阿曼里亚尔（近10亿元人民币），拥有高素质教师队伍，87.4%的教员具备博士学位，注重教学质量与科研创新，尤其在工程、医学、自然科学等领域形成优势学科。2025年QS世界大学排名中，SQU位列第362位，阿拉伯地区排名第8位，国际影响力持续提升。

The campus architecture, characterized by white and pink sandstone, is arranged along an axis pointing toward Mecca, reflecting strong Islamic cultural influences. The university features a central mosque, with prayer rooms integrated into nearly all buildings, and implements separate entry and classroom seating arrangements for male and female students. With an annual budget of approximately 45 million Omani Rials (nearly 1 billion Chinese Yuan), SQU boasts a highly qualified faculty where 87.4% hold doctoral degrees. It emphasizes teaching quality and research innovation, with particular strengths in engineering, medicine, and natural sciences. In the 2025 QS World University Rankings, SQU placed 362nd globally and 8th in the Arab region, demonstrating its growing international influence.

作为中阿教育合作的重要参与者，苏丹卡布斯大学积极推动国际交流，与多国高校建立合作关系，依托中阿大学联盟等平台深化科研与人才联合培养。学校以“结合阿曼国情、融合国际先进技术、传承本土文化价值”为办学理念，为阿曼社会经济发展及区域高等教育进步发挥着核心作用。

As a key participant in China-Arab educational cooperation, SQU actively promotes international exchanges, establishing partnerships with universities worldwide and deepening joint research and talent development through platforms like the China-Arab Universities Alliance.
