山西电力职业技术学院创建于1955年，占地面积534.6亩，是山西省唯一一所电力类高职院校，由国网山西省电力公司主办，集学历教育、职工培训、职前职后教育于一体。学院是山西省示范性高等职业院校、优质高等职业院校建设单位，入选国家第三批现代学徒制试点单位及全国首批示范性职教集团培育单位。近五年，主办单位累计投资10亿元用于学院建设，整合临汾、大同电力高级技工学校资源，形成“一体两翼”的办学格局，拥有4个国家级生产性实训基地、9个省级实训基地，开设23个高职专业，专注培养电力行业技术技能人才。

Shanxi Electric Power Technical College, founded in 1955, covers an area of 534.6 mu. As the only electric power vocational college in Shanxi Province, it is sponsored by State Grid Shanxi Electric Power Company, integrating academic education, employee training, and pre-service & post-service education. The college is a Demonstrative Higher Vocational College of Shanxi Province, a construction unit of high-quality higher vocational colleges, and has been selected into the third batch of national modern apprenticeship pilot units and the first batch of national demonstration vocational education group cultivation units. In the past five years, the sponsoring unit has invested a total of 1 billion yuan in the college's construction, integrating resources from Linfen and Datong Electric Power Senior Technical Schools to form a "one body and two wings" school-running pattern. It has 4 national productive training bases, 9 provincial training bases, and offers 23 higher vocational majors, focusing on cultivating technical and skilled talents for the electric power industry.

学院坚持“立足电力、服务社会”的办学定位，深化产教融合，与澳大利亚启思蒙职业与继续教育学院开展中外合作办学项目。校内建有89个实训室及95个校外实训基地，拥有高级职称教师95人，硕士研究生73人。近年来毕业生就业率保持100%，为电力系统及相关行业输送了大量高素质技术应用型人才，形成了“校企一体、工学结合”的鲜明办学特色，被誉为山西电力行业的“人才摇篮”。

Adhering to the school-running orientation of "based on electric power and serving the society", the college deepens the integration of industry and education, and carries out Sino-foreign cooperative education programs with Chisholm Institute of TAFE in Australia. There are 89 on-campus training rooms and 95 off-campus training bases, with 95 teachers with senior professional titles and 73 master's degree holders. In recent years, the employment rate of graduates has remained 100%, transporting a large number of high-quality technical and applied talents for the power system and related industries. It has formed a distinctive school-running feature of "integration of school and enterprise, combination of work and study", and is known as the "cradle of talents" in Shanxi's electric power industry.
