山西科技学院（Shanxi Institute of Science and Technology）坐落于素有“三晋门户、太行首冲”美誉的山西省晋城市，是2021年8月经教育部、山西省人民政府批复设立的省属普通本科高校，是山西省和晋城市共同支持建设的理工类应用型高校。学校占地面积1200余亩，已建成投入使用校舍面积29万平方米，在建项目建筑面积33万平方米。现有在校学生8110人，教职工400余人。

Shanxi Institute of Science and Technology is located in Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, known as the "Gateway to Sanjin and the First Gateway to Taihang". It is a provincial public undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Shanxi Province in August 2021. It is a理工类 application-oriented university jointly supported by Shanxi Province and Jincheng City. The university covers an area of more than 1,200 mu, with 290,000 square meters of school buildings completed and put into use, and 330,000 square meters of under-construction projects. There are 8,110 students and more than 400 faculty members.

学校秉承“崇德明理 精工求真”的校训，坚持开放办学、文化引领、实践导向、协同育人的办学理念，扎根晋城、服务山西、面向中原、辐射全国的办学方向，以工为主、理工结合、学科交叉、集群发展的办学定位，紧扣应用型大学建设目标，设置光机电工程、智能制造工程、能源工程、文旅康养等13个二级学院和31个本科专业（专业方向），涵盖工学、管理学、艺术学、文学、教育学、经济学等多个学科门类。

Adhering to the school motto of "Virtue, Reason, Excellence and Truth", the university adheres to the school-running philosophy of open education, cultural guidance, practice orientation and collaborative education. It is rooted in Jincheng, serves Shanxi, faces the Central Plains and radiates the whole country. With engineering as the main focus, combining science and engineering, interdisciplinary and cluster development, it closely follows the construction goal of application-oriented university. It has 13 secondary colleges and 31 undergraduate majors (professional directions) including Optoelectronic Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering, Energy Engineering, Culture, Tourism and Health Care, covering multiple disciplines such as engineering, management, art, literature, education and economics.
