山西老区职业技术学院是一所经山西省人民政府批准、教育部备案、全国唯一以老区命名的全日制综合性民办专科职业院校。学院根植革命老区沃土，以老区精神为指引，立足为老区发展培养高素质技术技能人才为使命，是山西职业教育体系中一所具有鲜明红色底蕴特色的院校。

Shanxi Laoqu Vocational and Technical College is a full-time comprehensive private vocational college approved by the Shanxi Provincial People's Government, registered with the Ministry of Education, and the only one in China named after "Laoqu" (old revolutionary base area). Rooted in the fertile soil of the old revolutionary base areas and guided by the spirit of the old revolutionary base areas, the college is committed to cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents for the development of the old revolutionary base areas, and is an institution with distinct red heritage characteristics in the vocational education system of Shanxi.

学院现坐落于太原市阳曲县首邑西路198号，校园占地面积13.7万平方米，现有在校学生近7000名。学院教学设施完善，拥有高标准实训室76间，图书馆馆藏纸质图书40余万册、中外电子图书和期刊56万册。学院设有护理学院、康养学院、中医药学院、新医学院、经济管理学院和马克思主义学院6个二级学院，形成了医护为主、中医药为重、新概念医学、康复康养和财经管理齐头并进的五大专业群。

The college is currently located at No. 198, Shouyi West Road, Yangqu County, Taiyuan City, covering an area of 137,000 square meters with nearly 7,000 students. The college has complete teaching facilities, including 76 high-standard training rooms, and a library with more than 400,000 paper books and 560,000 Chinese and foreign e-books and periodicals. It has 6 secondary colleges: School of Nursing, School of Health Care, School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, School of New Medicine, School of Economics and Management, and School of Marxism, forming five major professional groups featuring medical care as the main focus, traditional Chinese medicine as the priority, and simultaneous development of new concept medicine, rehabilitation and health care, and financial management.
