Shanxi Normal University is a key provincial university located in Linfen City, an important birthplace of Chinese civilization. Founded in 1958 as Jinnan Teachers College, the university has undergone several adjustments and developments, and was renamed Shanxi Normal University in 1984. It has evolved into a comprehensive normal university with coordinated development of multiple disciplines, including arts, science, engineering, education, economics, management, law, and art. The university currently has over 30,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates, and international students, as well as more than 2,000 faculty members, among whom over 40% hold senior professional titles. It boasts multiple national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, provincial key disciplines, and scientific research platforms, with strong disciplinary advantages and scientific research strength in teacher education, humanities and social sciences, basic science, and other fields.
