山西卫生健康职业学院是省教育厅直属的全日制公办专科层次普通高等学校，其前身是1953年8月创建的山西省卫生厅卫生人员训练班，历经多次更名与发展，于2018年正式改制为山西卫生健康职业学院。学院现有太原双东、晋中文津和晋中太谷三个校区，总占地343亩，建筑面积23万平方米，固定资产总值超5亿元，教学仪器设备总值3829.9万元，图书资料26.02万册。

Shanxi Health Vocational College is a full-time public higher vocational college directly under the Provincial Department of Education. Its predecessor was the Health Personnel Training Class of Shanxi Provincial Health Department founded in August 1953. After several renamings and developments, it was officially restructured into Shanxi Health Vocational College in 2018. The college has three campuses: Taiyuan Shuangdong, Jinzhong Wenjin and Jinzhong Taigu, covering a total area of 343 mu, with a building area of 230,000 square meters, a total fixed asset value of over 500 million yuan, teaching equipment value of 38.299 million yuan, and 260,200 books and materials.

学院开设临床医学、口腔医学、护理、药学等22个高职专业，其中护理和药学专业为山西省高等职业教育骨干专业，医学检验技术、助产、口腔医学技术等为省级职业教育重点专业建设项目。现有专任教师470人，副高级以上职称166人，双师型教师132人，全日制在校生11261人。建校70年来，学院累计培养15万余名医药卫生人才，涌现出赵雪芳、王学诗、贺星龙等多位国家级先进典型，是全国卫生职业院校执业资格考试联盟副理事长单位、教育部首批1+X证书制度试点院校，为山西乃至全国卫生健康事业发展作出重要贡献。

The college offers 22 higher vocational majors such as Clinical Medicine, Stomatology, Nursing, and Pharmacy. Among them, Nursing and Pharmacy are key majors of higher vocational education in Shanxi Province, and Medical Laboratory Technology, Midwifery, Stomatology Technology are key professional construction projects of provincial vocational education. There are 470 full-time teachers, 166 with associate senior titles or above, 132 double-qualified teachers, and 11,261 full-time students. Over the past 70 years since its establishment, the college has cultivated more than 150,000 medical and health talents, and emerged many national advanced models such as Zhao Xuefang, Wang Xueshi, He Xinglong. It is the vice-chairman unit of the National Health Vocational College Qualification Examination Alliance and one of the first batch of 1+X certificate system pilot colleges of the Ministry of Education, making important contributions to the development of health undertakings in Shanxi and even the whole country.
