山西药科职业学院是由山西省人民政府举办的普通高等职业院校，隶属山西省药品监督管理局。学院始创于1957年，前身是山西省药材公司培训班，历经山西省中药技校、山西省中药材职业学校、山西省中药材学校等发展阶段，2001年升格为山西生物应用职业技术学院，2012年正式更名为山西药科职业学院。学院秉承“修德济世、精业立身”的校训，为药品食品行业培养了4万余名高素质技术技能人才，是国家优质专科高等职业院校、全国首批现代学徒制改革试点单位、山西省示范性高职院校。

Shanxi Pharmaceutical Vocational College is a public higher vocational college sponsored by the People's Government of Shanxi Province, affiliated to Shanxi Provincial Drug Administration. Founded in 1957 as the Training Class of Shanxi Provincial Medicinal Materials Company, it has undergone several developmental stages including Shanxi Traditional Chinese Medicine Technical School, Shanxi Chinese Medicinal Materials Vocational School, and Shanxi Chinese Medicinal Materials School. Upgraded to Shanxi Biological Application Vocational and Technical College in 2001, it was officially renamed Shanxi Pharmaceutical Vocational College in 2012. Adhering to the motto of "Cultivating Virtue to Serve the World, Mastering Skills to Establish Oneself", the college has trained over 40,000 high-quality technical talents for the pharmaceutical and food industries. It is a National High-quality Vocational College, one of the first national pilot units for modern apprenticeship reform, and a Model Higher Vocational College in Shanxi Province.

学院位于太原市小店区民航南路16号，占地近400亩，在校学生8000余人，教职工381人，其中副高及以上职称教师81人，双师型教师114人。开设27个专业，涵盖药品、食品、化妆品、医疗器械等领域，拥有中央财政支持建设专业2个、国家级教改试点专业1个、省优专业8个。建有国家级精品课程5门、省级精品课程8门，校内外实践教学基地120余个，形成了“校企共育、教学做一体”的特色人才培养模式，毕业生就业率和专业对口率始终位居全省高职院校前列。

Located at No.16 Minhang South Road, Xiaodian District, Taiyuan, the college covers an area of nearly 400 mu, with over 8,000 students and 381 faculty members, including 81 teachers with associate senior titles or above and 114 dual-qualified teachers. It offers 27 majors covering pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, medical devices and other fields, with 2 majors supported by central finance, 1 national reform pilot major, and 8 provincial excellent majors. The college has 5 national excellent courses, 8 provincial excellent courses, and more than 120 on-campus and off-campus practical teaching bases. It has formed a characteristic talent training model of "school-enterprise co-education and integration of teaching, learning and doing", with graduate employment rate and professional counterpart rate remaining among the top in vocational colleges in Shanxi Province.
