沈阳理工大学是一所以工为主，涵盖工、理、经、管、文、法、艺等七大学科门类的多科性大学，是国家国防科技工业局与辽宁省人民政府共建高校，辽宁省重点建设高校。学校始建于1948年，前身为东北军区军工部工业专门学校，历经东北兵工专门学校、沈阳工业学院等发展阶段，2004年更名为沈阳理工大学。

Shenyang Ligong University is a multidisciplinary university focusing on engineering, covering seven disciplines including engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, and art. It is a university jointly built by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the People's Government of Liaoning Province, and a key construction university in Liaoning Province. Founded in 1948, the university was formerly known as the Industrial Specialized School of the Military Industry Department of the Northeast Military Region, and has gone through development stages such as Northeast Ordnance Specialized School and Shenyang Institute of Technology. It was renamed Shenyang Ligong University in 2004.

学校始终坚持立德树人根本任务，秉承“弘志励学、德才并蓄”的校训，致力于培养高素质应用型人才。现有教职工1600余人，全日制本科生、研究生、留学生21000余人。学校设有19个学院，开设60余个本科专业，拥有12个一级学科硕士学位授权点，8个硕士专业学位授权类别。

It currently has more than 1,600 faculty members and more than 21,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates, and international students. The university has 19 colleges, offering more than 60 undergraduate majors, with 12 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points and 8 master's professional degree authorization categories.
