宿州学院是省属全日制普通本科高校，坐落在全国文明城市、皖北历史文化名城宿州市。学校创建于1949年，历经皖北宿县区师范学校、安徽师范大学宿县教学点、宿州师范专科学校等办学阶段，2004年升本更名为宿州学院，2024年增列为硕士学位授予单位，获批资源与环境、生物与医药、材料与化工3个硕士学位授权点，实现办学层次从本科教育迈向研究生教育的新跨越。

Suzhou University is a full-time public undergraduate institution located in Suzhou City, a national civilized city and a historical and cultural city in northern Anhui Province. Founded in 1949, the university has gone through several development stages, including Northern Anhui Suzhou District Normal School, Suzhou Teaching Point of Anhui Normal University, and Suzhou Teachers College. It was upgraded to an undergraduate institution and renamed Suzhou University in 2004. In 2024, it was approved as a master's degree-granting unit with three authorized master's programs: Resources and Environment, Biology and Medicine, and Materials and Chemical Engineering, marking a new leap from undergraduate to graduate education.

学校现有教育园区、汴河路两个校区，占地1146亩，建筑面积近60万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值2.7亿余元，馆藏纸质图书153.7万余册。设有15个二级学院，普通本科生16000余人，在职教职工1300余人，其中副高以上职称380余人、博士近400人。构建了以工学、管理学为主，多学科协调发展的学科专业体系，拥有7类应用型学科专业群，荣获国家级教学成果二等奖1项、省级教学成果奖34项。

The university has two campuses: Education Park Campus and Bianhe Road Campus, covering an area of 1146 mu with a building area of nearly 600,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research equipment is about 270 million yuan, and the library has a collection of over 1.537 million paper books. It has 15 secondary colleges, more than 16,000 full-time undergraduates, and over 1,300 faculty members, including more than 380 with associate senior titles or above and nearly 400 doctors. The university has established a discipline system dominated by engineering and management with coordinated development of multiple disciplines, featuring 7 types of applied discipline clusters. It has won 1 second prize of National Teaching Achievement Award and 34 provincial teaching achievement awards.

学校坚持“地方性、应用型”办学定位，深入实施“4510校地联合科创行动”，拥有1个国家工程技术研究中心、1个博士后科研工作站和13个省厅级科研平台，近五年承担国家级、省部级科研项目385项，实施产学研合作项目900余项，是国家级大学生创新创业训练计划实施高校、安徽省示范应用型本科高校、安徽省地方应用型高水平大学立项建设单位。

Adhering to the "local and application-oriented" school-running orientation, the university has deeply implemented the "4510 University-Local Joint Science and Innovation Action". It boasts 1 National Engineering Technology Research Center, 1 post-doctoral research workstation, and 13 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research platforms. In the past five years, it has undertaken 385 national and provincial-level scientific research projects and implemented over 900 industry-university-research cooperation projects. It is a national university for implementing the College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program, an Anhui Provincial Demonstrative Application-oriented Undergraduate University, and an Anhui Provincial Local Application-oriented High-level University construction unit.
