淡江大学（Tamkang University, TKU），中文简称“淡大”，是一所位于中国台湾省新北市淡水区的著名私立研究型大学，台湾第一所私立高等学府，现为EUTW大学联盟成员。1950年，张鸣、张建邦父子创办淡江英语专科学校；1958年改制为四年制文理学院；1980年获准升格为大学并定名淡江大学。学校现已发展成拥有淡水、台北、兰阳、网路4个校园的综合型大学，共有8个学院、27,000余名学生、2,100余位教职员工及25万多名校友，是台湾具规模且功能完备的高等教育学府之一。

Tamkang University (TKU), commonly referred to as "Tamda" in Chinese, is a renowned private research university located in Tamsui District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, China. It is the first private institution of higher education in Taiwan and currently a member of the EUTW University Alliance. Founded in 1950 by Zhang Ming and his son Zhang Jianbang as Tamkang English Junior College, it was restructured into a four-year College of Arts and Sciences in 1958 and upgraded to a university in 1980, officially named Tamkang University. The university has now developed into a comprehensive institution with four campuses: Tamsui, Taipei, Lanyang, and Online, comprising 8 colleges, over 27,000 students, more than 2,100 faculty and staff, and over 250,000 alumni, making it one of the large-scale and fully functional higher education institutions in Taiwan.

淡江大学自创立起即重视国际化，为台湾公私立大学中首创实施“大三出国研习”制度的高校，自1994年起已有近6,000名学生参与该计划。学校目前与全球32个国家的180余所高校建立姊妹校关系（含大陆地区高校），境外学生逾1,800名，并与法国巴黎第四大学、美国密歇根大学等14所海外名校开展双学位合作。在学术领域，淡江大学有2个学科进入ESI全球前1%，曾获台湾校务评鉴私校一组第1名，连续23年位列台湾《CHEERS》杂志“企业最爱大学生”私立大学第一名。

Tamkang University has emphasized internationalization since its establishment and was the first university in Taiwan (public or private) to implement the "junior year abroad" program, with nearly 6,000 students participating since 1994. The university currently has sister-school relationships with over 180 institutions in 32 countries worldwide (including universities in mainland China), hosting more than 1,800 international students. It also offers dual-degree programs with 14 overseas prestigious universities such as the University of Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) in France and the University of Michigan in the United States. In academia, Tamkang University has 2 disciplines ranked in the top 1% of ESI globally, has won first place in the private university group in Taiwan's university evaluation, and has ranked first among private universities in Taiwan's "CHEERS" magazine's "Most Preferred University Graduates by Enterprises" for 23 consecutive years.
