桐城师范高等专科学校源于1904年桐城派后期代表人物马其昶创办的桐城中学堂师范班，是皖西南地区唯一一所公办师范高等专科学校。2010年3月升格为专科院校，2022年起与安庆师范大学开展专升本联合培养。学校秉承“学高为师，德高为范”校训，形成“敬业、精业、务实、创新”的教风和“求真、求实、博学、乐群”的学风，将桐城文化融入人才培养全过程，构建了独具地域特色的校园文化体系。

Tongcheng Teachers College originated from the Normal Class of Tongcheng Middle School founded by Ma Qichang, a representative figure of the later Tongcheng School, in 1904. It is the only public normal college in southwestern Anhui. Upgraded to a junior college in March 2010, it has carried out joint undergraduate training with Anqing Normal University since 2022. Adhering to the motto of "Knowledgeable as Teacher, Virtuous as Model", the college has formed a teaching style of "Dedication, Proficiency, Practicality, Innovation" and a learning style of "Seeking Truth, Being Practical, Erudition, and Group Spirit", integrating Tongcheng culture into talent cultivation to build a campus cultural system with unique regional characteristics.

学校位于国家历史文化名城桐城，新校区规划占地1000亩，一期建成650亩，建筑面积25万平方米。现设6个教学系部，28个高职专业，其中国家级重点建设专业2个、教育部免试认定教资专业3个、省级特色专业5个。学前教育专业为全省高职首例通过教育部师范专业认证的专业，小学教育专业群入选省级高水平专业群。全日制在校生6600余人，教职工285人，高级职称教师62名，硕士以上学位教师183名，省级教学团队12个。

Located in Tongcheng, a national historical and cultural city, the college's new campus covers a planned area of 1000 mu, with 650 mu completed in the first phase and a building area of 250,000 square meters. It now has 6 teaching departments and 28 higher vocational majors, including 2 national key construction majors, 3 majors with Ministry of Education exemption for teacher qualification certification, and 5 provincial characteristic majors. The Preschool Education major is the first in Anhui's higher vocational colleges to pass the Ministry of Education's normal professional certification, and the Primary Education major group has been selected as a provincial high-level professional group. The college has over 6,600 full-time students and 285 faculty members, including 62 senior title teachers, 183 teachers with master's degree or above, and 12 provincial teaching teams.

教学资源方面，图书馆藏书近70万册，建有13个信息化实训室及63间实验实训室，实习实训设备总值超4000万元。学校先后荣获“安徽省最具网络影响力高职院校”“安徽省双高校高水平专业群建设单位”等称号，累计培养毕业生4万余名，培训中小学及幼儿园教师7万余人，形成了“德学双修、文化育人、实践贯穿、一专多能”的教师教育特色。

In terms of teaching resources, the library has nearly 700,000 books, 13 information-based training rooms and 63 experimental training rooms, with total value of实习实训 equipment exceeding 40 million yuan. The college has successively won titles such as "Anhui Province's Most Influential Higher Vocational College on the Internet" and "Anhui Double-High-Level Professional Group Construction Unit". It has trained over 40,000 graduates and more than 70,000 primary and secondary school teachers and kindergarten teachers, forming the teacher education characteristics of "Morality and Learning Integration, Cultural Education, Practice-Oriented, and Multiple Abilities".
