天津传媒学院成立于2004年，是以培养传媒与艺术专业人才为主要办学定位的普通本科高等学校。2021年2月，经教育部批准转设为独立设置的民办普通本科高校。学校坐落于国家5A级旅游景区盘山山麓，校园占地面积1000亩，建筑面积25万平方米，下设十院两部，开设24个本科专业，覆盖艺术学、文学、管理学、教育学、工学五个学科门类，现有全日制在校生近15000人。

Tianjin College of Media and Arts was founded in 2004 as an ordinary undergraduate institution focusing on cultivating media and art professionals. Approved by the Ministry of Education in February 2021, it was transformed into an independent private undergraduate university. Located at the foot of Panshan Mountain, a national 5A-level tourist attraction, the campus covers 1,000 mu with a building area of 250,000 square meters. It comprises ten schools and two departments, offering 24 undergraduate programs spanning five disciplines: Arts, Literature, Management, Education, and Engineering, with nearly 15,000 full-time students.

学校秉持"修德、养慧、精艺、至善"的校训，构建了以传媒专业为主体、艺术学为特色的学科体系，形成"以德铸魂、以文化人，以创带教、以产促学"的办学特色。拥有专任教师千余人，三分之一具有高级职称，建有4大实践教学平台和50余个专业实验室，原创音乐剧《天地运河情》、话剧《俗世奇人》等作品获国家艺术基金支持，学生在全国文艺展演中屡获佳绩。

Adhering to the motto of "Cultivating Virtue, Nurturing Wisdom, Mastering Arts, Striving for Perfection", the university has developed a discipline system centered on media studies with distinctive arts characteristics. Its educational philosophy emphasizes "morality-based education, culture-oriented cultivation, innovation-driven teaching, and industry-promoted learning". The faculty includes over 1,000 full-time teachers, one-third of whom hold senior professional titles. The university boasts 4 major practical teaching platforms and more than 50 professional laboratories. Original works such as the musical "The Canal's Romance" and the drama "Legendary Folk Artists" have received support from the National Art Fund, with students consistently winning awards in national art exhibitions.
