天津音乐学院是中国北方地区重要的高等音乐学府，始建于1958年，前身为1950年创建的中央音乐学院天津分院。学校以培养音乐表演、创作、理论和教育人才为核心，形成了覆盖本科、硕士、博士完整的人才培养体系，是国务院学位委员会批准的首批硕士学位授予单位，2019年获批音乐与舞蹈学一级学科博士学位授权点。

Tianjin Conservatory of Music is an important higher music institution in northern China, founded in 1958 with its predecessor being the Tianjin Branch of the Central Conservatory of Music established in 1950. Focusing on cultivating talents in music performance, composition, theory, and education, the university has formed a complete talent development system covering undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs. It was among the first institutions authorized to grant master's degrees by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and obtained the doctoral degree authorization in the first-level discipline of Music and Dance Studies in 2019.

学校设有音乐学、作曲与作曲技术理论、音乐表演、舞蹈表演等多个本科专业，拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点7个，省级一流本科专业建设点3个。师资力量雄厚，现有教职工500余人，其中高级职称教师占比超过40%，多名教师享受国务院政府特殊津贴或入选国家级、省部级人才项目。

The university offers various undergraduate majors including Musicology, Composition and Composition Technology Theory, Music Performance, and Dance Performance. It has 7 national-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 3 provincial-level ones. With a strong faculty of over 500 staff, more than 40% hold senior professional titles, and many teachers enjoy special government allowances from the State Council or have been selected into national and provincial talent programs.
