天津师范大学是天津市属重点院校，始建于1958年，原名天津师范学院，1982年更名为天津师范大学。学校以教师教育为特色，涵盖哲学、经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、管理学、艺术学等10个学科门类，形成了多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。学校现有27个学院，76个本科专业，拥有博士学位授权一级学科11个，硕士学位授权一级学科33个，硕士专业学位授权点26个，博士后科研流动站9个。

Tianjin Normal University is a key municipal university in Tianjin. Founded in 1958 as Tianjin Normal College, it was renamed Tianjin Normal University in 1982. With teacher education as its distinctive feature, the university covers 10 disciplines including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, management, and art, forming a disciplinary and professional system with coordinated development of multiple disciplines. The university currently has 27 colleges and 76 undergraduate programs, with 11 first-level disciplines authorized for doctoral degrees, 33 first-level disciplines authorized for master's degrees, 26 professional master's degree programs, and 9 post-doctoral research stations.

学校师资力量雄厚，现有教职工2400余人，其中专任教师1400余人，具有高级职称教师900余人，拥有国家“万人计划”人选、长江学者、国家杰出青年科学基金获得者等国家级人才40余人次。学校坚持立德树人根本任务，着力培养德智体美劳全面发展的社会主义建设者和接班人，现有全日制本科生26000余人，研究生8000余人，各类留学生2000余人。

The university has a strong faculty, with over 2,400 faculty members, including more than 1,400 full-time teachers and over 900 teachers with senior professional titles. It has more than 40 national-level talents such as candidates for the National "Ten Thousand Talents Program", Changjiang Scholars, and recipients of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. Adhering to the fundamental task of cultivating virtue through education, the university strives to cultivate socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical education, aesthetic education and labor education. Currently, it has more than 26,000 full-time undergraduates, over 8,000 postgraduates, and more than 2,000 international students of various types.

学校注重科学研究与社会服务，拥有教育部人文社会科学重点研究基地、教育部重点实验室、国家地方联合工程研究中心等省部级以上科研平台40余个，近年来承担国家级科研项目400余项，获得国家级、省部级科研奖励100余项。学校积极开展国际交流与合作，与30多个国家和地区的170多所高校建立了友好合作关系，是首批国家大学生文化素质教育基地、首批全国深化创新创业教育改革示范高校。

The university attaches importance to scientific research and social services, with more than 40 scientific research platforms at or above the provincial and ministerial level, such as the Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, and the National-Local Joint Engineering Research Center. In recent years, it has undertaken more than 400 national-level scientific research projects and won more than 100 national and provincial-level scientific research awards. The university actively carries out international exchanges and cooperation, and has established friendly cooperative relations with more than 170 universities in more than 30 countries and regions. It is one of the first national cultural quality education bases for college students and the first batch of national demonstration universities for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform.
