天津铁道职业技术学院是天津市唯一一所以轨道交通专业为特色的公办全日制高等职业院校，始建于1951年，前身为天津铁路工程学校和天津铁路分局职工培训中心，2004年合并组建为高职学院。建校74年来，培养了以中国工程院院士王梦恕、“中国高速列车第一人”李东晓等为代表的10万余名优秀毕业生，为全国轨道交通事业和“轨道上的京津冀”建设提供人才支撑。学院是国家级高技能人才培训基地、国铁集团铁路机车司机培训考试基地，天津市“双高计划”建设单位，全国黄炎培职业教育优秀学校。

Tianjin Railway Technical and Vocational College is the only public full-time higher vocational college in Tianjin featuring rail transit majors. Founded in 1951, it originated from Tianjin Railway Engineering School and Tianjin Railway Sub-bureau Staff Training Center, merged into a higher vocational college in 2004. Over 74 years of establishment, it has cultivated more than 100,000 outstanding graduates represented by Wang Mengshu, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Li Dongxiao, "the first person of China's high-speed trains". It provides talent support for the national rail transit industry and the construction of "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei on Track". The college is a national high-skilled talent training base, a railway locomotive driver training and examination base of China State Railway Group, a "Double High Plan" construction unit in Tianjin, and an excellent school of Huang Yanpei Vocational Education in China.

学院现有北宁、南校区和水西三个校区，总占地面积434.2亩，教职工477名，在校生9200余人（含留学生19人）。构建了以轨道交通类专业为主，智能制造、智能建造、现代服务为辅的专业布局，开设33个专业，建成109个校内实训室（中心），包括国家级虚拟仿真实训基地、动车组检修技术协同创新中心等，实习实训设备总值达1.7亿元。深化校企合作，与18个铁路局集团及440余家企业建立合作关系，实施“五业联动”和“岗课赛证”融通，年均输送3000余名高技能人才。

The college has three campuses: Beining, South Campus and Shuixi, with a total area of 434.2 mu, 477 faculty members and over 9,200 students (including 19 international students). It has built a professional layout with rail transit majors as the main focus, supplemented by intelligent manufacturing, intelligent construction and modern services, offering 33 majors. It has 109 on-campus training rooms (centers), including national virtual simulation training base and EMU maintenance technology collaborative innovation center, with total value of 170 million yuan for training equipment. Deepening school-enterprise cooperation, it has established partnerships with 18 railway bureau groups and more than 440 enterprises, implementing "five-industry linkage" and "post-course-competition-certificate" integration, annually输送 over 3,000 high-skilled talents.

学院秉持“崇德、尚能”校训，弘扬“精神抖擞、专心致志、一丝不苟、精益求精”的新时代铁院精神，坚持“学生的健康成长和未来发展高于一切”的办学理念。师资队伍中硕士及以上学位占比65.4%，“双师型”教师占比76.3%，拥有世界技能大赛金牌选手、全国技术能手等高水平教师。近年来师生在全国技能大赛、“挑战杯”等赛事中获国家级奖项80余项，省部级奖项400多项，是天津大学职业技术教育学博士（硕士）培养基地，为轨道交通行业培养了大批“用得上、留得住、干得好”的技术技能人才。

Adhering to the school motto of "Virtue and Ability", the college promotes the spirit of the new era: "Energetic, Concentrated, Meticulous and Excellent", and adheres to the educational philosophy that "the healthy growth and future development of students are above all else". Among the faculty, 65.4% have master's degree or above, 76.3% are "double-qualified" teachers, including gold medalists of World Skills Competition and national technical experts. In recent years, teachers and students have won more than 80 national awards and over 400 provincial awards in national skill competitions, "Challenge Cup" and other events. It is the doctoral (master) training base for Vocational and Technical Education of Tianjin University, cultivating a large number of technical and skilled talents "usable, retainable and competent" for the rail transit industry.
