铁门关职业技术学院于2018年5月由新疆维吾尔自治区人民政府批准成立，前身是始建于1982年的第二师华山职业技术学校。学院是一所集中高职学历教育、专业技术培训和职业技能认定、成人教育为一体的综合性职业院校，下设兵团第二师铁门关市开放大学、兵团农广校二师分校、兵团第三十二国家职业技能鉴定所，隶属于第二师铁门关市，业务上接受兵团教育局和第二师铁门关市教育局指导。

Tiemenguan Vocational and Technical College was approved by the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in May 2018, with its predecessor being the Second Division Huashan Vocational and Technical School founded in 1982. It is a comprehensive vocational college integrating secondary and higher vocational education, professional technical training, vocational skill certification, and adult education. It has subordinate units including the Corps Second Division Tiemenguan Open University, the Corps Agricultural Broadcasting and Television School Second Division Branch, and the Corps Thirty-Second National Vocational Skill Appraisal Institute. Affiliated to the Second Division Tiemenguan City, it is professionally guided by the Corps Education Bureau and the Second Division Tiemenguan City Education Bureau.

学院占地总面积889亩，建筑面积593855.24平方米，实行“一院两区”管理。主校区位于铁门关市，占地673亩，建筑面积449208.76平方米；分校区位于库尔勒经济技术开发区，占地216亩，建筑面积144646.48平方米。学院下设10个教学系部，现有高职专业34个、中职专业10个，拥有兵团高水平专业群1个，教职工403人，在校生7645人。

The college covers a total area of 889 mu with a building area of 593,855.24 square meters, implementing a "one college, two campuses" management model. The main campus is located in Tiemenguan City, covering 673 mu with a building area of 449,208.76 square meters; the branch campus is situated in Korla Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering 216 mu with a building area of 144,646.48 square meters. The college has 10 teaching departments, offering 34 higher vocational majors and 10 secondary vocational majors, including one high-level professional group at the Corps level. It has 403 faculty members and 7,645 students.

学院先后获得“全国职业教育先进单位”“国家高技能人才培育突出贡献单位”“全国青少年道德培养实验基地”等荣誉称号，2023年顺利通过高等职业院校人才培养工作评估验收，并荣获“全国教科文卫体系统模范职工之家”称号。

The college has successively won honorary titles such as "National Advanced Unit in Vocational Education", "National Outstanding Contribution Unit for High-skilled Talent Cultivation", and "National Experimental Base for Adolescent Moral Cultivation". In 2023, it successfully passed the talent training evaluation of higher vocational colleges and was awarded the title of "Model Workers' Home in the National Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports System".
