天门职业学院是2010年4月经湖北省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的一所公办全日制普通高等院校，坐落在驰名中外的茶圣陆羽故里，武汉城市圈著名历史文化名城天门市。学校认真贯彻党和国家的教育方针，遵循高等教育规律，主动适应地方经济社会发展需要，以服务为宗旨，以就业为导向，走产学研结合之路，努力办人民满意的高等职业教育。

Tianmen Vocational College is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Hubei Province and registered by the Ministry of Education in April 2010. It is located in Tianmen City, a famous historical and cultural city in the Wuhan Metropolitan Circle and the hometown of Lu Yu, the renowned Tea Saint both at home and abroad. The college earnestly implements the educational policies of the Party and the country, follows the laws of higher education, actively adapts to the needs of local economic and social development, takes service as its purpose, employment as its orientation, and takes the path of integrating production, education and research, striving to run higher vocational education that satisfies the people.

学校目前在校学生有11152人，占地面积700亩，总建筑面积35万平方米，教学、生活、文体设施齐全，育人环境清静优雅。设有医护学院、陆羽国际茶文化艺术学院、经济贸易服务学院、智能制造学院、电子信息技术学院等7个二级学院，开设22个专业及专业方向；拥有校内实训室90余个，校外实训基地180多个；设有国家职业技能鉴定所，每年培训鉴定各类人员3500人次。

At present, the college has 11,152 students, covering an area of 700 mu with a total construction area of 350,000 square meters. It has complete teaching, living, cultural and sports facilities, and a quiet and elegant educational environment. It has 7 secondary colleges including the School of Medicine and Nursing, Luyu International Tea Culture and Art College, School of Economic and Trade Services, School of Intelligent Manufacturing, School of Electronic Information Technology, etc., offering 22 majors and professional directions; it has more than 90 on-campus training rooms and more than 180 off-campus training bases; it has a national vocational skill appraisal institute, training and appraising more than 3,500 people of various types every year.

师资力量雄厚。坚持内培外引、引培并重原则，现有教职工430人，中高级以上职称教师146人，楚天技能名师6人，常年聘请客座教授21人，双师型教师占50%以上。专业特色鲜明。护理专业具有60余年的专业建设与人才培养的经验，是中央财政支持建设专业；茶文化专业，接茶圣故里之灵气、得茶圣陆羽之精髓，成为企业、市场、坊间争相热捧的热门专业；智能制造装备技术、汽车制造与试验技术是市场紧俏的专业，与全国多家知名上市企业签订联合办学协议；酒店管理、电子商务专业均为订单式培养，为学生提供了热门岗位和就业保障。

The faculty is strong. Adhering to the principle of both internal training and external introduction, and equal emphasis on introduction and training, there are currently 430 faculty members, 146 teachers with middle and senior titles, 6 Chutian skilled masters, 21 visiting professors employed all year round, and more than 50% of the teachers are double-qualified. The majors have distinct characteristics. The nursing major has more than 60 years of experience in professional construction and talent training, and is a major supported by the central finance; the tea culture major, drawing on the aura of the hometown of the Tea Saint and the essence of Tea Saint Lu Yu, has become a popular major sought after by enterprises, markets and the public; intelligent manufacturing equipment technology, automobile manufacturing and testing technology are in short supply in the market, and have signed joint school-running agreements with many well-known listed enterprises across the country; hotel management and e-commerce majors are all order-based training, providing students with popular positions and employment guarantees.
