天水师范大学始建于1959年,前身为天水师范高等专科学校,2000年升格为天水师范学院,2025年6月正式更名为天水师范大学。学校秉承“明德、新民、至善”的校训,坚持师范教育办学定位,着力建设区域高水平综合性师范大学。目前设有18个二级学院,65个本科专业,涵盖文、理、工、教、管等多学科领域,其中国家级一流本科专业建设点5个,省级一流本科专业建设点20个。
Tianshui Normal University was founded in 1959, formerly known as Tianshui Teachers College. It was upgraded to Tianshui Normal University in 2000 and officially renamed Tianshui Normal University in June 2025. Adhering to the school motto of "Virtue, Renewal, Perfection", the university insists on the orientation of teacher education and strives to build a regional high-level comprehensive normal university. Currently, it has 18 secondary colleges and 65 undergraduate majors, covering multiple disciplines such as arts, science, engineering, education, and management, including 5 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 20 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites.
