唐山师范学院是河北省省属公办全日制普通本科高等院校，是首批入选教育部师范教育协同提质计划重点支持院校。学校前身为创办于1956年的唐山速成师范专科学校，2000年经教育部批准改建为本科院校，2024年获得硕士学位授予权。学校坚守师范主责主业，素有“冀东教师摇篮”之美誉，先后获批全国优秀师专、河北省文明校园、全国毕业生就业典型经验高校、国防教育特色学校等荣誉称号。

Tangshan Normal University is a public full-time ordinary undergraduate institution under the provincial government of Hebei Province, and one of the key supported institutions in the Ministry of Education's Teacher Education Collaborative Quality Improvement Program. Founded in 1956 as Tangshan Express Normal College, it was restructured into an undergraduate university with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2000 and obtained the right to grant master's degrees in 2024. Adhering to its main responsibility of teacher education, the university is known as the "Cradle of Teachers in Eastern Hebei" and has successively been awarded titles such as National Excellent Teachers College, Hebei Civilized Campus, National Model College for Graduate Employment, and National Defense Education Characteristic School.

学校位于河北省唐山市高新技术开发区，分大学道、学院路和建设路三个校区，占地79.337万平方米，建筑面积49.763万平方米。现有教职工1000余人，在校生18000余人，设16个教学单位，52个本科招生专业，涵盖文、理、法、经、史、教育、管、农、艺、工10个学科门类。拥有2个省级重点实验室、12个市级重点实验室，以及教育部中华优秀文化传承基地（评剧）等多个科研平台，近三年获省级以上科研奖励4项，发表高水平论文232篇，发明专利74项。

Located in the High-tech Development Zone of Tangshan City, Hebei Province, the university has three campuses: Daxuedao, Xueyuan Road and Jianshe Road, covering an area of 793,370 square meters with a building area of 497,630 square meters. It has over 1,000 faculty members and more than 18,000 students, with 16 teaching units and 52 undergraduate programs covering 10 disciplines including arts, science, law, economics, history, education, management, agriculture, arts, and engineering. The university boasts 2 provincial key laboratories, 12 municipal key laboratories, and multiple research platforms such as the Ministry of Education's Excellent Chinese Culture Inheritance Base (Pingju Opera). In the past three years, it has won 4 provincial and above scientific research awards, published 232 high-level papers, and obtained 74 invention patents.
