泰山学院办学历史可追溯至1905年创办的泰安府官立师范学堂，1958年开始举办高等教育，2002年经教育部批准升格为本科院校并更名为泰山学院。学校现有南、北两个校区，占地面积1378亩，建筑面积54万平方米，设有19个二级学院、54个本科专业，涵盖文学、理学、工学等9大学科门类，其中国家级一流本科专业建设点4个，省级一流本科专业建设点12个。作为山东省19所省级教师教育基地之一和首批公费师范生招生资格高校，学校始终坚持“工科亮色、文旅特色、师范底色”的办学定位，现有全日制普通在校生2.4万余人，教职工1600余人，其中专任教师1300余人，高级职称教师530余人，拥有国家级领军人才、泰山学者等高层次人才38人。

TaiShan University traces its roots back to the Tai'an Government Normal School founded in 1905, began higher education in 1958, and was upgraded to an undergraduate institution with its current name approved by the Ministry of Education in 2002. The university has two campuses (South and North) covering 1378 mu with a building area of 540,000 square meters. It comprises 19 secondary colleges offering 54 undergraduate programs spanning 9 disciplines including literature, science, and engineering, featuring 4 national-level first-class undergraduate program construction sites and 12 provincial-level ones. As one of Shandong's 19 provincial teacher education bases and among the first universities with public-funded normal student enrollment qualification, the university adheres to the orientation of "engineering strengths, cultural tourism characteristics, and normal education foundation". It has over 24,000 full-time students and more than 1,600 faculty members, including over 1,300 full-time teachers, 530+ with senior titles, and 38 high-level talents such as national-level leaders and Taishan Scholars.

学校在学科建设与科研创新方面成效显著，拥有省级重点学科4个、省级科研平台12个，近年来承担国家级科研项目40项、省部级项目234项，获山东省自然科学技术奖二等奖等省部级科研成果奖11项。在人才培养方面，学校创新实施“三金一红”德育工程，构建“泰山挑山工特质”育人体系，学生累计获“挑战杯”等国家级奖项950余项，培养出全国人大代表、中小学校长等各类人才26万余人，被誉为“泰安市优秀中小学教师的摇篮”。此外，学校积极推进产教融合，与浪潮集团等企业共建3个省级现代产业学院，组建117个服务地方团队，横向项目经费近5亿元，为区域经济社会发展提供有力支撑。

The university has achieved remarkable results in discipline construction and scientific innovation, boasting 4 provincial key disciplines and 12 provincial research platforms. In recent years, it has undertaken 40 national-level and 234 provincial-level scientific research projects, winning 11 provincial-level awards including the Second Prize of Shandong Provincial Natural Science and Technology Award. In talent cultivation, it innovatively implements the "Three Golds and One Red" moral education project and builds an education system featuring "Taishan Porter Spirit". Students have won over 950 national awards in events like "Challenge Cup", and the university has cultivated more than 260,000 talents including NPC deputies and primary/middle school principals, earning the reputation as "the cradle of excellent primary and secondary school teachers in Tai'an". Furthermore, the university actively promotes industry-education integration, co-establishing 3 provincial modern industrial colleges with enterprises like Inspur Group, forming 117 local service teams, and securing nearly 500 million yuan in horizontal project funding, providing strong support for regional economic and social development.
