唐山学院地处中国近代工业摇篮、素有“京东宝地”之美誉的河北省唐山市，是2002年经教育部批准设立的全日制公办普通本科高校，肇始于1956年创办的唐山市工业夜大学、1983年创办的唐山职业大学和1985年创办的西南交大唐山分校，迄今已有68年办学历史。在唐山建材工业学校、河北科技大学唐山分院和唐山市对外经济贸易学校实质性并入后，发展成为一所以工为主，工、经、管、文、法、艺等多学科协调融合发展的应用型大学。

Tangshan University is located in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, known as the cradle of China's modern industry and the "treasure land east of Beijing". It is a full-time public ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education in 2002. Its origins can be traced back to the Tangshan Industrial Evening University founded in 1956, Tangshan Vocational University founded in 1983, and Southwest Jiaotong University Tangshan Branch founded in 1985, with a history of 68 years of running. After the substantial merger of Tangshan Building Materials Industry School, Hebei University of Science and Technology Tangshan Branch, and Tangshan Foreign Economic and Trade School, it has developed into an application-oriented university with engineering as the main focus, and coordinated and integrated development of multiple disciplines such as engineering, economics, management, literature, law, and art.

学校现有大学西道、华岩北路、龙泽路等校区，总占地面积约1512.65亩，总建筑面积约70.49万平方米，全日制本科在校生1.98万人，成教学生近5000人。学校坚持社会主义办学方向，以建设高水平国际化应用型大学为目标，坚定不移实施校企合作、产教融合、校地联合创新发展战略，致力于打造专业学位研究生教育与应用型本科教育相互支撑的办学格局，培养具有家国情怀、实践能力和创新精神的高素质应用型人才。

The university currently has campuses such as Daxue West Road, Huayan North Road, and Longze Road, with a total area of approximately 1512.65 mu and a total building area of approximately 704,900 square meters. It has 19,800 full-time undergraduate students and nearly 5,000 adult education students. Adhering to the socialist orientation in running schools, the university aims to build a high-level international application-oriented university, unswervingly implements the innovation-driven development strategy of school-enterprise cooperation, industry-education integration, and school-local integration, and is committed to creating a school-running pattern where professional degree graduate education and application-oriented undergraduate education support each other, cultivating high-quality application-oriented talents with a sense of family and country, practical ability, and innovative spirit.
