东海大学（Tunghai University），简称东大、东海、THU，是台湾一所由基督教创办的综合大学，英文名称为Tunghai University。学校创办于1953年，1955年开始正式招生，由美国基督教大学联合董事会拨款建立，是台湾地区最早设立的一所私立教会大学。

Tunghai University, referred to as Dongda, Donghai, or THU, is a comprehensive university founded by Christians in Taiwan, with the English name Tunghai University. Established in 1953, the university officially began enrolling students in 1955. It was funded by the United Board for Christian Colleges in China and is the earliest private church university established in Taiwan.

现设文、理、工、商、法、农、管理7学院，连同夜间部共33个学系，9个研究所。该校拥有实习农牧场（隶属农学院）、东亚社会经济研究中心（社会科学院）等多个研究中心和实验工厂，标榜教育必须与社会结合，早在60年代就提出敞开大门为社会服务的口号，经常与台湾中部地区企业界联合举办各类进修班、讲习会等。

Currently, it has 7 colleges including Arts, Sciences, Engineering, Business, Law, Agriculture, and Management, with a total of 33 departments and 9 research institutes including the evening division. The university has multiple research centers and experimental factories such as the Internship Farm (affiliated to the College of Agriculture) and the East Asian Social and Economic Research Center (College of Social Sciences). It advocates that education must be integrated with society and as early as the 1960s put forward the slogan of opening its doors to serve society, often jointly holding various training courses and seminars with enterprises in central Taiwan.

Tunghai University is famous for its high-quality campus across Taiwan, with lush trees and a strong humanistic atmosphere. The campus was designed by renowned architects such as I.M. Pei, and the Luce Memorial Chapel is its representative landscape. Located on the convenient Zhonggang Road, adjacent to multiple business districts, the university has extremely convenient living facilities, making it an excellent learning environment that is quiet amidst the hustle and bustle. The on-campus hardware facilities are complete, including libraries, swimming pools, gymnasiums, etc., as well as numerous catering and living service facilities.
