Federal University of Goiás (Universidade Federal de Goiás, UFG for short) is a public university in Brazil, founded in 1960. Its main campus is located in Goiânia, the capital of Goiás state, and it is one of the important public universities in Brazil. The university offers a wide range of disciplines, covering medicine, engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, agricultural sciences and other fields, among which medicine, engineering and natural sciences enjoy high reputation in Brazil.
