Université Côte d'Azur (UCA) is a new public research university in the French Riviera region, officially established in 2020. Its roots can be traced back to the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis founded in 1965. As a member of France's "Initiative of Excellence" (IDEX) program, UCA was formed by the merger of 13 higher education and research institutions, including the University of Nice, SKEMA Business School, the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), and the National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (INRIA), aiming to create an interdisciplinary and international higher education and research cluster.

UCA以科研创新为核心，拥有22个研究单位，重点发展人工智能、生命科学、环境可持续性等领域，是法国四大人工智能研究中心之一（3IA Côte d'Azur）。学校国际化程度高，20%的学生来自全球100多个国家，与欧洲、亚洲、美洲等地区的高校建立了广泛合作，并参与欧盟“地平线欧洲”（Horizon Europe）等国际科研计划。在2024年QS世界大学排名中，UCA位列全球731-740名，法国第21位，彰显了其作为年轻大学的快速发展潜力。

UCA focuses on research and innovation, with 22 research units specializing in artificial intelligence, life sciences, environmental sustainability, and other fields. It is one of France's four major artificial intelligence research centers (3IA Côte d'Azur). The university has a high degree of internationalization, with 20% of its students from over 100 countries worldwide. It has established extensive collaborations with universities in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and participates in international research programs such as the EU's "Horizon Europe". In the 2024 QS World University Rankings, UCA was ranked 731-740 globally and 21st in France, demonstrating its rapid development potential as a young university.
