巴士拉大学（University of Basrah）是伊拉克南部巴士拉市的一所公立综合性大学，创立于1964年，前身为巴格达大学在巴士拉的分校。作为伊拉克重要的高等教育机构之一，该校以石油工程、医学、科学和人文社科等学科为特色，在阿拉伯湾地区具有较高的学术影响力。

University of Basrah is a public comprehensive university located in Basra, southern Iraq. Founded in 1964, it originated as a branch campus of the University of Baghdad in Basra. As one of Iraq's key higher education institutions, the university is renowned for its strengths in Petroleum Engineering, Medicine, Sciences, and Humanities & Social Sciences, holding significant academic influence in the Arabian Gulf region.

学校现有三个校区（北校区、南校区及医学院校区），下设20所学院，涵盖工程、医学、科学、商业、教育、艺术等多个领域，在校生约10万人，教职工近5000人。其石油工程专业依托巴士拉地区丰富的石油资源，在教学与科研方面具有独特优势；医学院则附设教学医院，为学生提供临床实践平台。

The university currently operates three campuses (North Campus, South Campus, and Medical Campus) and comprises 20 colleges spanning Engineering, Medicine, Sciences, Business, Education, Arts, and other disciplines. It enrolls approximately 100,000 students and employs nearly 5,000 faculty and staff. Leveraging Basra's abundant oil resources, its Petroleum Engineering program boasts unique advantages in teaching and research, while the Medical College is affiliated with teaching hospitals to provide clinical training opportunities for students.

作为非营利性公立大学，巴士拉大学不仅提供学士、硕士及博士学位教育，还设有海洋科学、阿拉伯湾研究、聚合物研究等多个特色研究中心，致力于推动区域经济与社会发展。在国际排名中，该校QS世界大学排名位列1201-1400区间，TIMES世界大学排名位列1501+，整体学术水平相当于中国中等偏上的重点大学。

As a non-profit public university, University of Basrah offers academic programs at bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. It also hosts specialized research centers in Marine Sciences, Arabian Gulf Studies, and Polymer Research, dedicated to advancing regional economic and social development. In international rankings, the university is positioned between 1201-1400 in the QS World University Rankings and 1501+ in the Times Higher Education Rankings, with an overall academic standing comparable to mid-to-top tier key universities in China.
