塞浦路斯大学（University of Cyprus, UCY）成立于1989年，是塞浦路斯第一所公立大学，位于首都尼科西亚。作为该国顶尖高等学府，学校自1992年招生以来，已发展为拥有超过7000名学生的综合性大学，涵盖本科、硕士及博士教育。UCY下设6个学院，包括人文学院、纯科学与应用科学学院、社会科学与教育学院、经济与管理学院、工程学院及文学学院，提供31个本科专业、43个研究生专业及33个博士领域，学科覆盖自然科学、工程、人文社科、经济管理等多个领域。

Founded in 1989, the University of Cyprus (UCY) is the first public university in Cyprus, located in the capital city of Nicosia. As the country's top higher education institution, it has grown into a comprehensive university with over 7,000 students since enrolling its first cohort in 1992, offering undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs. UCY comprises 6 faculties, including the Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences and Education, Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Letters. It provides 31 undergraduate programs, 43 postgraduate programs, and 33 doctoral fields, covering disciplines such as natural sciences, engineering, humanities and social sciences, economics, and management.

该校以国际化教育为特色，60%的教师拥有英美知名大学博士学位，40%以英语为母语，课程学分纳入欧洲学分转换系统（ECTS），学位获欧盟及国际认可。在学术排名方面，UCY位列QS世界大学排名第368位，USNews排名第678位，相当于中国山东大学水平。作为中国教育部首批认证的海外名校，UCY与全球40多所高校建立合作关系，积极推动科研创新，拥有13个研究中心，重点领域包括数据科学、可持续能源及地中海研究。

The university is characterized by internationalized education, with 60% of its faculty holding doctoral degrees from top universities in the UK and the US, and 40% being native English speakers. Course credits are integrated into the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), and degrees are recognized by the EU and internationally. In academic rankings, UCY is ranked 368th in the QS World University Rankings and 678th in the USNews rankings, comparable to Shandong University in China. As one of the first overseas universities accredited by China's Ministry of Education, UCY has established partnerships with over 40 universities worldwide and actively promotes research innovation, housing 13 research centers with key focuses on data science, sustainable energy, and Mediterranean studies.
