The University of Greenwich is a public comprehensive university located in London, UK, with a history dating back to the Woolwich Polytechnic founded in 1890, which was the second polytechnic established in the UK. It was granted university status in 1992 and currently has approximately 25,000 students, with a high proportion of international students from over 150 countries worldwide. Its main campus is situated in the Greenwich World Heritage Site, and its Baroque-style buildings are known as "Britain's Versailles".

It has been awarded the Queen's Anniversary Prize five times, the Times Higher Education Award nine times, and the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold Award in 2023.
